Popuptober is an October challenge to make a pop up card every day. The last few years, there’s been an effort to “light up popuptober” and this year I got the word “Meander”.

I had only a vague abstract idea to make an LED travel a meandering path until about October 2nd when inspiration struck. I hadn’t been keen on fireflies because I’ve seen them in many light up cards before, but I knew I could make this one exciting and once I thought of having the bug light up a jack-o-lantern I knew I had found my idea.

The full paper circuit including a magnet-activated switch (called a normally open reed switch) is designed into the bug. A slider under the base of the card pulls a magnet along a wavy path, and on a few takes managed to pull the bug down into the jack-o-lantern pop up.

In cricut design spa this was only 8”, and 5 cuts. I had to break it in 4 sections, re-engineer the cutouts and layering, create a backing, and in the end it was 28 mats but in the end it was worth it to give it to my bestie! Created with medium cardstock and some glitter cardstock.

These were made to guide the kids to the trick or treat spot at our house… and the husky one is just our dog.

I just got a cricut a few weeks ago and I decided to decorate my Lil man's feeder.

I used cardstock, yarn and a charm to make this cute piece of wall decor :)

I work at a primary school as an EAL teacher in the Netherlands so I have decided this year to run a "Word of the Week" bulletin board for the entire school.

I used the Cricut for just about everything except the border tape I found on AliExpress.

Every week I will change out the word, translate it into multiple languages and offer prompts that are suitable for each grade to complete. I will also have a contribution box for kids to add their submissions, artwork and ideas. This is the first time I'm doing this so I hope to adjust and improve as we go along.

Also ignore the purple background. The board is a bit wrecked underneath. I also used my Cricut for some colour decor for my classroom.

I am just so pleased with how it turned out! Really a vision came to life.

OK, but for real, this little experiment came out so cute.

Also, big ups to Cricut for "print and cut". It continues to be my favorite function.

Made today on 300gsm cardstock, metallic cardstock & glittercardstock, with 120gsm paper for the print & cut setting on my Cricut Explore 3. My daughter now has her cake topper ready for her birthday next year

I make these stenciled paint kits using stencil vinyl. I recently designed and made one that has just a blank cross stitch pattern. I painted my first sample and I love how it turned out!!! Can’t wait to do some more.

Used 300gsm cardstock, 120gsm paper, glue dots, pva glue, foam tape 🫶🏻

I started making Dreaming Tree projects for Halloween early this year!

Got inspired by some floral dog image designs…took a photo of my dog, turned her into a silhouette, then added some flowers. I’m very pleased with the result, I just wish I had made it a smidge bigger!

I’m working to get ready for a storefront opening front opening and I finished these beauties today. I want to keep them sooooo bad.

Definitely made some mistakes but I’m really happy with it!

My partner loves the t-shirt Ryland Grace has in the Project Hail Mary movie so I decided to make him his own, but glow in the dark. The GitD material from Cricut was a right pain to work with. Default pressure is not enough, and it's an extremely expensive material to mess up. Its saving grace (no pun intended) was that it transferred beautifully.
