JJRC C8823 lost steering
Hey! I was driving my C8823 in some tall grass that had some dew on it and lost steering. I’m pretty sure however that the steering failed while I was moving from asphalt to grass. I see this damage on the servo saver but am not sure if it’s a QC issue? I’m new to fixing issues like this and would appreciate any input on whether anything looks wrong in the picture or what steps I could take to figure out what’s causing the issue without unnecessarily spending!
Edit: the indicators for the light still turn on and throttle still works so the transmitter seems to be fine

My first crawler/trail truck
Got my first real crawler/trail truck. Element Trailwalker. Just finished it up mostly, still waiting on a set of side mirrors since they were missing from the truck out if the box. Hand painted all the black plastics to look a bit more like aged metal. Did the front bumper, sliders, and bed cage. Darkened up the grill a bit. Weathered the body with the traditional sanding but added some additional rust holes using a small drill bit and gave it a bit more dimension by adding some metallic copper, silver, and brown paint streaks.
After a few drives I upgraded the stock electronics to a Fusion SE and Injora 35kg servo. Stock tires on some extra heavy cheap Amazon wheels.
Really happy with how's it's turning out so far.

HOBBYWING HW30120402 QUICRUN FUSION PRO COMBO FÜR ROCK CRAWLER 2300KV
Hi everyone, I’ve been into RC crawlers for a few years now, but I’ve never really done much tinkering or custom work myself!
The car is a TRX6 AMG from Traxxas
I’m running into a problem here: my new Hobbywing brushless system unfortunately isn't working the way I expected.
I watched a few videos on how to calibrate the new system and followed the instructions exactly—holding the button down until it lights up, releasing it immediately, and waiting for the beep—but it just doesn't beep...
It simply flashes red and does nothing.
The receiver has a green light, and the transmitter does too!
The motor is connected correctly to the receiver, as everything is getting power; if I plug it in the other way around, the receiver doesn't get any power at all.
I even bought the Hobbywing programming box to try and change the motor rotation (since I saw that suggested as a fix in a video), but unfortunately, that didn't help either!
So, I’m asking you all: what else can I do? I’m at my wit's end!
Hopefully someone can help me
(I am German the text is From google translate hope you understand everything correctly!)

Advice
Hi all, I’m new to the crawling scene don’t know much about it at the moment, but couple months ago I got myself a MJX h12p just because it looked good and then from there I got introduced to the crawling scene. Now I’m looking to pick up my first “Proper Crawler”
Wanted to know if this rig js worth it;
Scx10 pro.
Hobbywing fusion pro 2300kv
JX ECO BOOST servo
Jx micro servo (under drive)
Heavy beadlocks with canyon tyres and dual stage foams.
Stage Stagekilla body and axial pro body.
320 USD (£240)
Any advice would be appreciated.

Rig of the Month 10/26 Photos of a Gen8 V2 build I had a few years ago
Old OEM+ style Gen8 V2 I had a few years back. Kept it simple at the start, with cheap scale details and some brass where it needed to be, but I went a little crazy and things started going south. Had a Crawlmaster Sport and a 1080, and a front overdrive at one point. Also threw on a knockoff RC4WD winch kit, the Gen9 two speed kit, and a super bright light bar that I have since robbed for use in an unrelated build. Parts were hard to find, so I bought a Gen9 and this one became a parts truck.
It was fun while it lasted.

K5 upgrade
Hi, I replaced the stock brushed combo with the Hobbywing Fusion 1800KV system. To do this, I had to add a Flysky FMS R11D-BS receiver, since the receiver was integrated into the original ESC. The brushless combo is really great—lots of low-end torque and plenty of wheel speed, plus much better runtime: 2 hours 30 minutes (5400mAh) with the stock setup versus 4 hours 30 minutes (5400mAh) with the Hobbywing, even with the lights on. 👌

Recommendations for Replacement Pinion
Hey, looking to see what other people have had success with. I have to replace the pinion gear for my Axial SCX10 iii Basecamp.
I know it’s 14t 32p 3mm, but everything on Amazon looks.. off. Ordering from axial is not an option, is there anything others have had success with?
Thank you!!

Question please educate me on suspension tuning for 1/10 crawlers
As the title states, I'm trying to develop an understanding of how to set up/tune the suspension on a recently built crawler. It's a Gold Rush V2 chassis, portal axles, axle mounted steering servo, if any of that matters.
Basically trying to get as much useable articulation as possible for obstacle navigation.
Do you guys run springs on the shocks or no?
Any specific shock oil/weight/piston mod/mounting angle I should be targeting?
Here's a picture of how it sits after getting it drivable today.
Any and all tips are welcome!

Build Showcase I've started over...
My Land Rover build wasn't going well and got worse when I broke the 2 windshield mounts (part of the bulkhead). Put everything in the box and forgot about it for a while. Then went back to the 3d model and added details and features that I did on the first version. Put more legroom, holes for the indicators, ducts for wires, the rain gutter, etc. The sides now feature separate pieces with the hinges and the windshield pivots so I can replace if something breaks. The hinges are true replicas and very fragile but I don't compromise
