Just finished Cowboy Bebop. What a masterpiece.

Post image

Cowboy Bebop is a total masterpiece. The pacing of every single episode is just right. Whether it's a serious or a comedic episode, every single one of them stands on its own as perfection. The storytelling leaves so much poetic room for interpretation, and the soundtrack is unbeatable.

The cowboy vibe is so awesome

I especially loved one of the comedic episodes (with Teddy Bomber) . He keeps blowing up skyscrapers just for his "grand ideal," arguing that everyone else is too caught up in material possessions and unnecessary things. But at the same time, look at him: he cares so much about what others think. Blowing up buildings is just his way of craving attention, and he gets furious when the protagonist ignores him. He’s lived such a miserable, painful life.

However, in the end, he sees Andy—someone who lives completely as he pleases. Andy wants to be a cowboy? He becomes a cowboy. He wants to be a samurai? He becomes a samurai. He doesn't give a damn about what anyone thinks. That’s when Teddy Bomber realizes, Wait, you can actually live life like that?

Sorry, English is not my first language

Also make sure to check out space dandy if you haven’t already. Created by the same person. It’s like cowboy bebop meets Johnny bravo. Much less serious and a bunch of fun.

Change the audio for the next time. First time I watched it was in Japanese with Subtitles. Second time was the Dubbed version. Both are equally great.

I heard the movie is being released in 4k in Japanese theaters. Made me so jelly 😭😭that movie has better animation and art than even most of the modern animes. Experiencing THAT in 4k in theaters would be awesome 😭😭

Why does he think that? Maybe he should try it before judging it.

well I also feel that it is a nice show but not upto my expectations. maybe i like more inclusive stories and it was seperate story of each character without much influence of other characters. although music was goated.

Literally my favorite production. Not just anime, it’s one of the greatest artistic productions in existence. I’m happy you got to experience it. If I could I’d wipe it from memory just to experience it again.

Best anime show ever- kind of ruins other shows a little bit for me because I compare them all to this.

I just finished the anime and movie this week too! Thought it was awesome. I loved the company scenes with jazz (bebop I'm guessing) music playing!

One of the best pieces of media ever. Full stop. 10/10. No notes
If you enjoyed it definitely check out Cowboy Bebop The Movie
It feels like a really long episode. And it has one of the greatest intro scenes of all time.
