………I sent a text to my 29 year old son telling him it’s the 30th anniversary of his conception!

I remember when this came out and Adam posted it to download for free. For some reason I was only able to get one of the songs (You Might Think). I was wondering if anyone new a place to download now. I would love to be able to listen to this mixed in with my other Crows music. I appreciate any help.

Trying to get a link for the crow town discord server to look through some demos / bootlegs. Specifically the 1 singular live performance of Einstein on the Beach. I've heard the bootleg is floating around through trading circles on forums from a 15 years ago, but I don't really feel as though it's been properly archived as you really can't find it anywhere at all. However I saw a post of a guy logging his own personal bootlegs that says the 2-23-92 concert was in there, but this was back on the Crow Town website before they migrated. Trying to get in the server to do some poking around. Can DM me about it or reply. Help would be appreciated!

Just caught it this evening. Miami plays about an hour and 15 or so into the movie. One of the few moments of music culture from this era. I didn’t expect it, but happy it was there.

if i ever got the chance to see the Crows live, i, personally, would NEVER recover if i witnessed them play “Catapult.”

what’s a song of theirs that you would love to hear live?

Ok lol this has bothered me forever.

At almost exactly 3:50 in Anna Begins, there are two really distinct little beeps in the background. Ever since I was a teenager, I've thought they have sounded EXACTLY like someone pushing two buttons on an old touch-tone landline. Im like: did they sample a telephone here?!

I finally got curious enough to record the section into Audacity because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t making this up. The sounds are definitely there. They apparently seem to be actual musical notes and not literal phone tones, but they have this bizarre keypad/telephone sound to them.

Has anyone else ever noticed this? More importantly, does anyone know what the hell is making that sound?

It's as Adam is saying "understand" at 3:50.

EDIT: Ive included the clip im using here for those that are curious. Please let me know if you can hear it. The two beeps are at about 6 seconds.

Anyone know any other songs that feel like Round Here by the Counting Crows?

He ordered a lot of oysters, but no pearls.

Does anyone have a recording of this show? They opened for Big Star at the Fillmore in SF under the name "The Shatners."

I don't want to post spoilers bc I had no idea and it made it MAGIC for me. But let me just say CC fam, go see this movie while it's in the theater. Trust me. It's GLORIOUS.

Besides YouTube is there anywhere I could download the flying demos songs ?

Hopefully it’s signed by the band and not the poster artist.

I just remembered that years ago I asked for a Counting Crows CD for my birthday and someone ended up getting me Casting Crowns instead. 😂

This was peak CD-store era. You could totally imagine Casting Crowns getting filed at the very back of the Counting Crows section, someone seeing that weird mysterious 2003 cover, thinking “oh cool, that must be the new one he wants” and heading to the register.

And looking at their early album covers now, they genuinely look like they could be Counting Crows artwork.

Anyone else ever have this happen?

So, not to spoil the movie, but Long December is played in full at a very pivotal part of the movie. Loving the band, the song hit me as a fun surprise. The movie is full of symbolism and while I loved the song being played, the choice is out of place ( but also fun!!). Anyone have any thoughts on this? I’d love to hear people’s interpretations. Perhaps the writer just loved the song? All the other songs chosen were nostalgic, but their choice was evident. This choice to play Long December (and in full) was sort of lost on me. Thanks!

Ugh, I am so wrecked over this

I must be going crazy but I thought there was a slow version of “Murder of One” floating around. Has anyone heard it or know where to look? Any help would be great or this just proves my insanity.

Come and waste another year
