I was playing a normal competitive game and I started hitting good shots with the scout and awp when all of a sudden I get VAC banned for 20 hours. Never cheated in my life but I get banned? Spinbots don’t but I do? Can anyone explain?

What workshop maps do you use for warm-up / training? I've got 1,500hrs but I dont take it very seriously, I have aim training maps but id like to learn how to jiggle peek and some more advanced techniques but the aim workshop doesn't work for that

I was playing wingman this morning and my teammate was obviously cheated. First round he buys a deagle, bhops around, and kills both enemies. Naturally I tked him and now I have a 24hour comp ban. Is there anyway to appeal a comp ban? And if not what am I supposed to do in this situation? I don't want to play out a full match with a cheater, shit isn't fun.

Hello everyone!

For the past month I've been making a Xash mod that mixes classic Counter strike weapons and looks with the fast-paced call of duty black ops 1&2 gameplay.

Although AI helped me parsing code into C++, I had to replicate CoD basic gamemode rules without decompilation, tune recoil for all the weapons, modify models using Blender and set up attachment and ads positions on weapons. The gameplay is being played in an unfinished custom "Standoff" map mixed with de_inferno architecture and .wad that is being built in Trenchbroom. It supports custom classes using black ops 2 as a base for all the perks & wildcards.

The mod is still unfinished but I hope to release it with at least two more remixed Cod maps

I recently came across a video about the Counter-Strike: Source iceberg in my recommendations, but it struck me as rather superficial. I thought, why not create my own version? Although I’m not exactly a veteran (I’ve only played sporadically since 2019), I enjoy modding maps for this game and also digging through the Wayback Machine archives. Here is my version of the "iceberg", arguably the most detailed one I’ve seen. I should note right away that I put this together in just two evenings, so I might have missed some important topics.
