Help Marker does not paint on acrylic paint
Hi guys, I have a question or problem, you see I'm making some cardboard goggles that I painted with acrylic paint and I want to give you detail with marker but for some reason the marker doesn't paint well, it doesn't grip the paint well or it even takes a little of the paint on the tip (it should be clarified that I do this with the paint already dry) so I wonder if it's normal or I'm doing something wrong? The marker is a sharpie but it also happens with other markers and it is strange because on other surfaces such as normal cardboard or paper if it works, I appreciate any help :p

This is happening because the ink doesn't have anything to absorb into. You might have better results with a paint pen, like someone suggested.

Check out Uni or DecoColor paint pens. The quality of the pen makes a huge difference!
I have used the Uni pens a lot for marking on acrylic paint and they cover very well.

A lot of markers have a solvent in the ink, that's what will be lifting your paint. Ink likes to soak into things rather than sit on top, as mentioned a paint pen or fine brush and paint will work for you.
