I’m putting together a community map of affordable meals around Corpus Christi.

The idea is simple. If you find a good meal at a good price, add the meal, the price, and maybe a photo or quick video so other people can find it too.

With prices going up, I think this could be really useful for people here.

I was riding by the golf course when I noticed a large dog was accompanying a foursome. He was off leash and barking at my dog, but a tall fence prevented further action until the fence ran out. Then the dog attempted to cross the street to get at my dog, and got hit by a car. I didn't see it, just heard the screech of tires and the whelp of the dog. It ran away, didn't seem to be dragging anything but it was hurt.

I had mixed feeling about that. The dog looked harmless but you never know. And I was pissed at the golfers for letting it happen, so I clapped so they could see it. They got what they deserved, a big vet bill if they just don't shoot the dog.

Did you see that I said to a gal I usually say hi to. She's a walker. And she said the car was going too fast, I pointed out that the dog was loose on the highway, but she could tell from how the brakes sounded the car was going too fast. I said the guy stopped within a few feet. If it came to an investigation, the skid marks would have been very short.

And she got mad and I said I guess we're not friends anymore and she flipped me off and that was the end of it except I ended up behind her going in the same direction and couldn't get around her.. I turned off at the first opportunity. Any idiot would know why. She had her phone out.

Adventures in city living.

Had someone living in my house paying rent for a couple months then they stopped for a few months so I kicked them out. When I left the house I closed my utilities and now I'm trying to move back in but apparently there's a water bill under my name for 8 months unpaid. They said I have to pay at least half to start a new service again and its about $1100, does anyone know why the water kept going so long without being paid? Or is there anything I can do besides just paying the bill? I just find it ridiculous that corpus christi set up a new account without my permission and let it go 8 months unpaid before finally shutting the water off.

Had some success and made a few friends last time I posted and want to try again.

I am from London and I have learned that my dad and half of my family are from/in CC. So I’m here for the next two weeks.

I would love to get to know the local communities and cultures. I work in the art sector and UK Music as a photographer (portfolio).

I want to make a photo series about my time here and getting to know the culture of where 50% of me is from. Part of that I would love to spend one or two days at a ranch just shadowing the workers and getting to see what life is like there.
