Class-specific To my math people

HOW DO YOU SUCCEED??? When I’m practicing questions I know how to answer them and their steps. Yet when I do practice exams I completely blank and genuinely feel as if I didn’t learn anything.

And this always happens to me, to the point I’ve failed math 209 once and I’m currently retaking and doing steps beyond what I did last time to try to succeed this time around.

I think I have some sort of performance anxiety, i genuinely need help on how to solve this please

MECH 371

My fellow engineers. If you're thinking about dropping this class bc you don't understand anything, don't. Trust the process. I am only now understanding week 1 to week 4 material because a lot of core concepts are only introduced on week 5. Plus, almost all of the Weeks 1 to 4 practice problems given by Dr. Xie are about concepts that are only introduced at week 5. This is incredibly depressing, I know.

Also, the book is absolute shit, I strongly encourage you all to point that out in course evaluations. For instance, it asks you questions about step and ramp inputs as well as steady-state errors and Percent Overshoot on chapters 2 and 4, but it only introduces these concepts on chapter 5 (week 5). Chapter 4 also has problems involving the Routh-Hurwitz Criterion, but that's not even seen until chapter 6 (week 6).

I understand how tired, drained and confused you are, but don't give up. You got this!

Question

I'm currently doing springboard cegep and im worried that I won't get accepted for Building Eng. Technology. It says I need 65% - 75% in required prerequisites. I'm currently doing these subjects, I have 74% for math sn and 76% science ste.

HOWEVER, my results in science st which is a ministry highschool exam I have a 60% on it. Do I still have a chance to get accepted if all my other grades are 75%+ ? Like do they consider the enriched more than the regular class ?

Also do y'all suggest I take chemistry to increase my chances or is it pointless ? It's not even required for the program.

Thanks for reading this and thanks for your efforts

Class-specific Physics 204 Midterm Prep

To those who have completed/aced physics 204, how did you prepare for the midterm? I have heard that his midterms can be brutal but are based from the textbook and the assignments. Is it better to do the webassign questions as they are based on the textbooks and are similar to the assignments? Are there any other methods you would suggest?

Any JMSB courses that are 100% remote in summer?

Hello! I am not from Quebec originally but want to take some courses over the summer but it is not possible for me to travel from where I live to Montreal for exams and stuff. Maybe like one exam or something. Are there any electives or JMSB courses that are fully remote that I can take?

Thank you!

ECON 319 Tests

Hi,

I know in the past that ECON 319 tests were done through moodle, but wasn’t sure if they still are this semester. Is anyone in the course right now who can confirm if their prof said the method of the midterms?

Thank you in advance
