Hii, I have a little question regarding the Credit/No Credit (CR/NC) grading notation... I was planning to apply for the credit/non-credit option for one of my courses this semester, but unfortunately, I misread the deadline. I mistakenly thought I had until one week before the end of the semester, which is the DISC deadline, to submit my request. I only realized my mistake when I tried to apply today and was unable to do so because the actual deadline had already passed (DNE, not DISC).
I was wondering if there is any possibility of making an exception and allowing me to submit my credit/non-credit request late? Has this happened to anyone? If so, who should I contact?

I'm from Winnipeg and go to University of Manitoba, in my 2nd year while 3.5 years behind my peers. I'm still deciding on what to do exactly. My first year I've struggled due to my ADHD and couldn't apply into my desire program, business school. I messed up and ended up with a 2.6 gpa. My parent's told me this is my last semester before they'll make me drop out of uni, go to trade school and stop financially supporting me.
This summer, I've met these two sister's from Montreal in another city who both go to Concordia University. They were telling how amazing it is here, the university and how I could start all over again, and apply as an independent student as I would love it there and that there's many students who also start uni later in their 20s.
I'm seriously considering applying to Concordia in Winter '27 as I would love to live in a new city away from my hometown, become independent, start all over again, and take university seriously while getting my life moving again. However, I unfortunately don't speak French at all, so I could get approved of student loans, however, I have no idea how I would afford the monthly cost of living as many jobs in Montreal even in the downtown area that speaks English requires French as well.
To those who go to Concordia University and are also in the same or similar situation as I, is this a highly naive and unrealistic idea to move to Montreal for Concordia University alone while financially supporting myself for the first time, or should I stay in my hometown going to trade school instead?

Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a course to replace BANA 477 / BSTA 477 this Winter by submitting an AEHE application and haven't found a good match yet.
anyone has done the the same thing for this course? Can you share with me which course from which school you chose and got an approval for? so far, I asked for MGSC 416 from McGill but it didnt work.
Also who thought that it's a good idea to change the course code into BANA(na)😭
Thank you!
btw this is the course description for BANA 477:

Anybody know someone that could teach me piano or guitar and do lessons? I’d love to relearn piano or pick up guitar. Based in downtown Montreal? :)

Hello guys! I have the COMM 225 midterm on the 25th and I just lost a close friend of mine this week. Her funeral is being held in the US this weekend and my midterm is the week after. Although there is a week between the two her passing has affected me a lot and I know I’ll only be more upset and grieving after her funeral this weekend and don’t think I’ll have the mental capacity to study.
Is there anyone I can talk to, to ask to write the alternate midterm besides the prof? I had explained the situation to him and he mentioned the department may not let me because there is a week between the funeral and the midterm and I had explained to him it was more of I may not be in the mental state to write the midterm and it’s worth 35% so I don’t want to just do whatever.

I'm currently doing springboard cegep and im worried that I won't get accepted for Building Eng. Technology. It says I need 65% - 75% in required prerequisites. I'm currently doing these subjects, I have 74% for math sn and 76% science ste.
HOWEVER, my results in science st which is a ministry highschool exam I have a 60% on it. Do I still have a chance to get accepted if all my other grades are 75%+ ? Like do they consider the enriched more than the regular class ?
Also do y'all suggest I take chemistry to increase my chances or is it pointless ? It's not even required for the program.
Thanks for reading this and thanks for your efforts

I've been searching for dental shadowing opportunities for a while but most of the clinics don't seem to allow it. Do you guys any clinics in mind that do allow students to observe??

To those who have completed/aced physics 204, how did you prepare for the midterm? I have heard that his midterms can be brutal but are based from the textbook and the assignments. Is it better to do the webassign questions as they are based on the textbooks and are similar to the assignments? Are there any other methods you would suggest?

how are you guys studying?? I have Amandeep as a teacher and her mixed reviews are making me nervous. There’s so much material but yet all of it will be cramped into 45 mc questions.
any tips and tricks?!
