Does anybody here carry an m&p shield 2.0 in 45acp? I am looking for a good IWB holster for this weapon.
TIA

There’s a time and place for these discussions. As (mostly) Americans, we have a civic duty to participate in the politics of our country.
r/concealedcarry is not the place for that.
Go and exercise your 1st amendment right (safely!). Call your senators.
Moving forward:

My daily carry for a while has been the Glock 48. I originally bought it because I wanted something smaller for concealed carry, something that wasn’t too bulky to carry comfortably every day or keep in my truck.
I’ve made a few upgrades to the G48, including the barrel, trigger, sights, light/laser, backplate, and grip. I absolutely love that pistol, but I found myself wanting something even smaller and easier to conceal.
My local gun store had three of the new Ruger LCP MAX Magpul Editions come in. Two sold during the first week, and I ended up getting the last one. The owner said the feedback he’d received so far had been a solid 10/10.
After running two boxes of ammo through it and carrying it for roughly two months, I can honestly say I understand the hype. I absolutely love this little pistol!
It conceals incredibly well, even in a pocket while wearing shorts, and carrying it at the waist is a breeze. For anyone looking for something compact and easy to carry, this one has definitely impressed me so far.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me but I feel like I need a safer carry gun now that I have a kid climbing all over me. I know some will say that you just need a good holster but if I can mitigate more risk without compromising on it being a good gun then why should I do that? I’ve heard recommendations from people like Fat Electrician and other gun YouTubers that a DA/SA gun would be best. I came here looking for recommendation. I’d love it to have a manual safety and a full firing pin block unlike Sig (P365 Xmacro is what I currently carry). Could be DA/SA but just want some recommendations and why that gun is the best mix of safety and being a good carry gun. Thanks for the help!

Hi! I have an APX A1 Carry that I'd like to use as my EDC, but I am having trouble finding a holster that will fit and isn't too bulky. I'd like to abdomen carry as I am smaller framed and I think on the hip would hurt. Any recs for an AIWB holster would be greatly appreciated! I really like the PHLster Enigma, but unfortunately it won't work with the A1 Carry, so if something similar is available that'd be great!

Taking Greyhound for the first time and didn’t know they ban firearms.
I was thinking concealed but saw this video on their Google reviews. Looks like they wand you down in El Paso.
Too late for other means of travel anyone traveling on Greyhound from El Paso to Houston?
Never leaves house naked but I might have to because of this. 4 stops are midnight too and 4am arrives in Houston downtown doesn’t sound good either….
Just want to see if anyone recently traveling conceal from El Paso to Houston. I wonder if pocket knife allow. Man this sucks.
Thank You.

I'm a new-ish gun owner, having gotten my LTC a couple of years ago at age 60 after decades of favoring gun control. (As a woman living alone, becoming a crime victim changed that.) After taking a handgun class with live fire, I found I liked the S&W Shield 9mm and the Sig P365. I bought a Shield but quickly found it to be a little too much gun. It's very hard to track the slide (I have some arthritis in my hands), it's a little heavy for use with a sticky holster (which I prefer for IWB carry), and I've also had difficulty with recoil, such that all my shots end up going down from where I aim. I considered getting a P365 instead but wasn't sure it would be all that much better.
I recently read about a .380 version of the P365, and a little research revealed it's a bit smaller, a bit lighter, and has less recoil than the 9mm version. So I bought one, and it's perfect for me. I was going to sell the Shield, but now I'm rethinking that.
Since I don't carry my Sig in the house, I'm thinking maybe I should hold onto the Shield and keep it stored in my downstairs safe as a home defense weapon, while continuing to carry the Sig when I go out. That means I would have to practice with both guns (and especially work on not anticipating that recoil on the Shield) and basically buy double ammo forever. $$$!
The alternative would be to carry the Sig in the house or try to remember to bring it downstairs every day.
This might seem like a simple issue for more experienced gun owners, but for me it's a balance between safety and economy. I'd like to hear people's thoughts about the pros and cons of each way.

I’m 17f, 18 in December.
I live in Texas so the laws on licensing are a little back and forth, but I plan to get my license anyway.
I love shooting, so I’d be using the gun on at least a biweekly basis, but I’m also not very experienced with handguns yet.
Open to any recs.

It doesn’t give any specific details other than local laws or Amazon policy, but I’ve had other belly band holsters shipped before just fine.
Edit: I have a Springfield Echelon 9 mm full size that Im concealing since I’m about 6’3” and the size doesn’t really bug me. Recommendations for holsters are greatly appreciated

Picked up my first full size owb concealed carry pistol a few days ago, it’s a CZ P-09f, and after fighting (and winning) the optic plate cover that was red loctited down, got it set up to where I like it with my red dot and flashlight. Picked this guy up as my first full size carry since jacket and hoodie season is here.

I have a 365 x macro comp I carry…. Sometimes. I have a Safariland INCOG X holster and absolutely hate it. I feel as if the bottom of the holster really protrudes and pushes into the top of my pelvis.
Any recommendations for a more comfortable holster to carry with?

For around a decade i have carried subcompact 9mm. Roughly 2 years ago i had carpal tunnel surgery on my shooting hand. I began to notice my shooting was a bit off and decided to figure it out. Long story short due to hand size and the "less than successful" surgery, a full size pistol was needed. Since going to full size, shooting has drastically improved. Like surprisingly improved.
To the point. I have done some research into 5.7x28 (including but not limited to several yt vids by professionals) and while it is not a 9mm, it does have its advantages and some over 9mm. So, does anyone carry 5.7? And why?

Anyone use a Desantis Super Fly holster with a S&W .380 bodyguard in the back pocket with manual safety off and chambered? Thoughts?

I have been wanting to get a new handgun for concealed carry. With that said - I am not super well versed on handguns but just want something dependable, that feels good, and is highly concealable. I am also wanting a manual safety for peace of mind.
With the research I have done I have grown to really want the S&W CSX E-Series. It seems to do extremely well in every comparison and I have yet to hear about anyone not liking it or having any issues with it. The problem I am running into is that it is not a particularly popular gun, so the ranges around me don’t have it available for rentals to try it and see how it feels. Would it be a terrible idea for me to buy it without ever shooting it? I’d love to hear your advice and if you think it’s necessary, other recommendations.
My key points are:
- highly concealable
- manual safety
- 9mm
- under $700
Let me know what you think!

Any opinions on carrying hornadys DGH for CCW? My 1st thought was if it good enough for a bear, its good enough for a man.
But then I started wondering if they designed the round specifically around penetrating thick skull bones? Are these essentially just HeadyDuty slugs/ball then?
Would i be better off w/ something like the traditional red rubber tipped or hollow points?
