Commanders, announcing a new release of Command & Conquer for Atari ST (yes, you read that right)!
Version 0.3.9 of this port for Atari ST, Falcon and TT bring 41-67% better performance (since the last version announced here, 0.3.3) and a ton of bugfixes to the Brotherhood of Nod's favorite 16-bit platform.
Audio is no longer high-pitched, text is more readable, winter theater is supported and save games can be converted back and forth between the current and older formats. Most importantly, both GDI and Nod single-player campaigns can be finished.
With performance optimizations to rendering, AI and pathfinding, this game now runs acceptably on a 1990 16 MHz Mega STe (but even better on Falcon or TT) with at least 4MB of RAM, the physical limit of original ST hardware.
All FMV cutscenes of the original game are supported — in beautiful 16 colors, 15fps and rendered using an Atari-ST-optimized custom video codec.
Sampled PCM audio is supported on all hardware, even on old STs which lack the modern STe's DMA audio. Either play using the YM-2149 soundchip or using a Covox Speech Thing(!) attached to the parallel port.
Commanders with some love for 16-bit systems, go have a look! Download is free. (If you like to support the project, donations in Money and Tiberium are accepted.)

A big thank you to the maintainers of Vanilla-Conquer which this port is based on, and to everybody who tested, spread the word, donated or helped otherwise.
Brotherhood, Unity, Peace!

Sorry for the potato quality and the shaky hands. 100% working! Even created a sidebar for grouping units, attack ground, dissemble/regroup and stop.
Edit: will publish everything on GitHub soon, so you guys can do it.

How accurate are my picks? Can I survive?

Have tried a General's challenge run in Shockwave using a US General (Ironside) and at the tail end using a Chinese one ( Fai). Been thinking of trying to do it with a GLA General next. Which of the four do you recommend I start with?

Hi all; we are working on a command & conquer / red alert inspired RTS and I was wondering if there are any must haves for this type of game that you guys really want to see. If have our own plans of course, but I'm hoping the community has some nice insightful thoughts so that we can use that to help steer the game's development.
Clips from our last meeting here: https://youtu.be/CyF6okQrmpI
Right now we have 3 factions: The United Federation, Eastern Alliance, and The Collective.

I was usa air and he was usa super. Ive started less than a month ago. But i was playing starcraft from time to time though.
But I feel sadness that he won't win me anymore, because he doesn't play often.

Are there any Mods lost to time?
I remember one in particular that was for Renegade, it allowed you to use maps from the Campaign in Multiplayer. Also a lot of skins for Renegade are gone, things like XCOM and Blu-GDI.
Also there was Tiberian Sun that allowed the use of pyramid Lazer turrets.

As certain technology advances, many people by now are porting command and conquer games to mobile and web. I am one of them and plan to do as many of the games as I can.
Whilst my much simpler web method isn't quite ready to share publicly, if anyone wants to play Tiberium Sun or Red Alert 1 on iOS please see https://github.com/Jamesadsy/Vanilla-Vault
For OpenTS Tiberium Sun:
https://github.com/Jamesadsy/OpenTS
You either need a Mac or a windows device with third party software to push your game data files to iOS and the device must be in dev mode.
I'm also working on a port of Red Alert 2 that has full campaign and the expansion.
I also have a fork for Amaarreshi's Generals for iOS but take no credit for that and it is unedited since release - this was the inspiration for doing my own ports of the games I grew up with.
If anyone else tries my ports please let me know as I don't think anyone actually has yet.

My goal for this game is to just be all out fucking awesome!
Check this video out, there's a lot more improvements coming with these functions, like how the build menu pops up, how you place the building, how the dozer animates etc...
If you know of another RTS game that does this, let me know! It's pretty cool!
