Pretty aure they've done studies, and very little kids from UK don't get the vomit taste from Hershey's chocolate. So it seems to be more exposure to vomit that makes Hershey's taste bad than exposure to Hershey's makes it taste good.

Interesting idea. Maybe if you grow up with Hershey's, it doesn't bother you 

Until you get used to higher quality chocolate that is. Hershey's doesn't taste like vomit to me, but it's definitely not something I go out of my way to get unlike the good stuff at like, Trader Joe's

For me it's a mood thing. They taste different, not necessarily better or worse.
