I call this...

N3and3rthal. I put way too much effort editing this, and someone's probably done something similar before. But I'm pretty proud of it

Any chance he could be a guest on the Halloween show, like last year? That was a grepisode.
If this happens can you also not bring up music but ask Jimmy about his body count? Thanks.

I can't remember what characters they're doing, or any examples. But it went on for ages back and forth, and the sayings were silly but profound-sounding things like "If you can't see a rabbit, you're the rabbit" etc. [Edit] Thanks for all the quick replies! It's the "sentiment off" from the Philadelphia show, 2016.

Graverob Man
“According to character descriptions provided by the streamer, Mantzoukas plays Lambros, a local store owner and occasional looter of the treasures unearthed at the dig site.”

I went to my Union Hall today after work to get some political yard signs. I just missed the guy that’s running for the house of reps but more importantly I just missed Jon “Bowzer” Bauman! Apparently he goes around with democratic candidates talking about saving social security. No word on if Hotdog was there

I’ve noticed there’s a lot of old episodes being played. What’s going on there and is anything new funny? Or is everything behind the paywall now?

That's it! It took a while for me to get used to her style on her other projects like Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists, but it's really clicking these days. Loved her stuff.

Sorry if this is already been discussed but…
The new (temporary?) opening theme for CBB is O Fortuna with a drop somewhere near the end of just "Comedy Bang Bang". It sounds like the computer voice Alfred uses on Who Me! The one that says "this is a two part question". Is that just because that's a common computer voice (like Fred was way back when), or is this some software that Brett loves to use at every opportunity?

For context, I'm obviously talking about the theme Lisa Gilroy improvised on the spot on episode 986. Scott didn't care for it all that much, like it didn't stick, but they've had the same generic numbers they use for annual best of shows as the the shows theme for almost a thousand episodes. At least one guest put in the effort to create a theme song.

has anyone been to one of these shows yet? Just listened to JCM talk about the tour with Scott on a recent CBB-FM episode and considering buying a ticket for the NYC date!

I was at the Troy show… I’ve listened to a bunch of Doug Gropes appearances, and I’m curious how people who’ve seen him live interpret the bit.
In recordings Scott often seems at least a little irritated with Doug, but I’ve always assumed that’s part of the bit. It’s a high-wire act, and the audience generally seems to love it.
But at the Troy show, during the final block, Paul and Scott both seemed genuinely frustrated with Doug, to the point where I wasn’t sure if things were going as intended or if the bit just wasn’t working that night. Their comments were getting pretty testy.
For those who’ve seen Doug live before: is that level of tension pretty typical, and is the apparent frustration part of the act? Or did the Troy set feel different to you, too?
To be clear, I like Ryan Gaul. I’m just curious how people who know the live show better than I do read that dynamic.

Doing the Lord's work. Also his new movie "The Incomer" is fantastic.
