My Own Code Looking for feedback on a Rust-based messaging project

I'm working on OnyxChat, a messaging project with components written in Rust, C, C++, Lua, and Python.

I'm interested in feedback on the Rust side of the project, particularly the boundaries between components, error handling, testability, and how clearly the implementation reflects the documented architecture.

The repository also contains protocol, security, privacy, and testing documentation. The project is under development and has not received an independent security audit, so I'm not presenting it as a production-ready or independently verified secure messenger.

One detail that may be relevant to contributors: the repository's documentation, comments, and language-consistency tests currently use European Portuguese (PT-PT). That convention can be discussed and refactored collaboratively if justified.

Repository: https://github.com/Shega-PT/OnyxChat

If this kind of review is appropriate for this community, I'd appreciate pointers to specific design choices or implementation details worth examining. I'll follow the community's self-promotion rules.

Great post - definitely appropriate for this community. One minor issue - something is wrong with the formatting of the link above - I got taken to https://github.com/Shega-PT/OnyxChat\](https://github.com/Shega-PT/OnyxChat) after clicking on it, but I typed in https://github.com/Shega-PT/OnyxChat and saw it was there.

Great post, and good luck! I don't have the experience with Rust to review atm, but if that changes I'll asisst.

You're right, the error in the link was mine. Since I was writing in Markdown before posting, I ended up pasting the link twice. I've already edited it to leave only one.

Thank you for the heads-up.

Regarding the language, the code also uses C, C++, Python, and a little bit of Lua. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
