Self promotion is allowed here, if it’s about Classic Horror movies….
So stop reporting YouTube channels that talk about Classic Horror movies. T-shirt posts are still not allowed. Bootlegged/stollen IP merchandise isn’t allowed. Links to sales are mostly not allowed, unless you’re selling your original artwork…and these will still be highly moderated. Once again, whoever is reporting every nearly every post here, please knock it off.

You guys found some pretty embarrassing holes in my horror movie finder. Here's what I've fixed.
A few days ago I shared Midnight Repertory here, and the response genuinely blew me away. Thank you! You also immediately started finding things I'd overlooked.
My favorite example: someone searched for movies directed by Roger Corman, and the engine basically threw up its hands.
I'd spent months cataloging the stories, threats, settings, and narrative characteristics of thousands of horror movies, but because I hadn't personally needed to search by director, I'd neglected to make that information properly searchable.
I've substantially rebuilt the discovery engine so it can better understand what you're actually looking for and investigate the movie evidence instead of requiring oddly precise wording.
I've also added director metadata and support for director-based searches.
The results are cleaner, you can flag good or bad matches, and you can share individual discoveries. If you tried it last week, I'd love for you to give it another go:

Thanks again for putting it through its paces. You helped make this thing better, and I'm genuinely grateful.

Hammer Films: Dracula Is Back. Is the Studio Alive?
Hammer Films has restored Dracula, but where are its new British horror productions? I consider John Gore’s revival of the legendary studio.

I re-mastered the original trailer for "Plan 9 From Outer Space"
I couldn't find a good version of the trailer online so I edited this together using a higher quality transfer of the movie and re-created the title cards. I thought this subreddit might appreciate it. I am planning to do the same for other classic horror movie trailers.

Article Looks like Universal now has an excuse to release yet another "restored" Dracula edition. Joking aside, this is really cool news! The long thought lost epilogue of Dracula 1931 has been rediscovered!

Question about transfer quality of Roger Corman's 1963 The Raven
This is one of the few AIP Corman Poe movies I don't have on disc. All the versions I've found online (YouTube, TUBI, etc) all have a crazy amount of "jitter" where the image throughout is shaking. It's especially noticeable in the open scene like with the vibrant image of the coffin. I literally can not watch it, makes me borderline nauseous.
Is the DVD like this as well? Is it just the way the movie was produced?

Discussion Been watching some classic horror movies for the Halloween season. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde feels like the superior film compared to Dracula in story, themes, camera work, and editing yet Dracula seems like the more popular out of the two. Anyone know why?

Discussion Picked this up on a whim, what's your opinion on Coffin Joe?
Been diving into a lot of classic horror (thanks to this awesome sub!) and seen this boxset for a good price on Ebay.
I'd never even heard of Coffin Joe but it definitely intrigued me enough to pick it up, but I was wondering if anyone here is a fan and can tell me a bit more about these films?

Recommendation Can someone PLEASE tell me the name of this horror film ??
This movie had to have came out in the 70s or early 80s at the latest. In the beginning of the film they show this boy who’s somehow different from the other kids in the neighborhood and he was being bullied by the other kids. There was a little girl who didn’t like seeing him get bullied and she was somehwhat of a friend. Then the bullying gets to a point where an accident happens and the boy either gets killed or seriously hurt to the point they think he is killed and he’s never heard from again. Then years later he’s an adult/monster and I guess he seeks revenge on his “killers” but he doesn’t want to hurt the girl that he was once friends with. I think he stayed in a cellar or basement somewhere. Thats the most that I can remember. I saw this movie over 20s years ago on tv and never got the name of it.
