Hey Clashers!
In order to foster better discussion on the subreddit, we're going to be redirecting all simple questions about the game and personal progression to this Weekly Questions Megathread. In this thread, you can ask any question you need answered about Clash of Clans, even if it isn't necessarily about learning the game itself. Questions posts with simple answers (anything that one or two sentences can adequately address without discussion potential) will be removed and redirected here.
If you're a veteran player, then please consider scrolling through and answering any questions you see, even if they already have an answer. Hearing multiple opinions is vital, and the discussion will help new players learn about the game.

From Supercell:
Hey Chief,
Thanks to everyone who’s shared feedback on the new interface. We’ve been reading your comments, and we want to address some of the questions and frustrations you’ve raised.
We’re listening, and below we’ll share our thoughts on some of the topics you’ve raised most often.
Your Town Hall in the top left:
We hear you asking why it’s there. We’ve got some ideas for that corner built around player customization for the future, and we’ll share more about those ideas when we can.
HUD customization:
As we’ve shared before, this is something we’d like to explore in the future, and we are still committed to the idea. More on this when we have it.
The XP bar is missing. It’s not gone. It moved to your Profile where the rest of your personal stats live.
Scaling:
We understand why you’d like more scaling options to help it feel comfortable on your device, and are looking into it.
Builder suggestions:
We know the new builder tab is a big shift. We’re following your feedback as you use it in everyday play before deciding on larger changes.
Shop button:
When the update was released, we found a critical bug that was causing the “FREE” notification to appear on the shop even though there was no freebie. While we were working on a fix, we added a Power Pancake to the shop and then released the fix on maintenance the following day that was meant to fix it. This was not intentional, as we had no plans of showing any Shop notifications with the release, and we apologize for this inconvenience. As for the new Shop layout, it gives buildings their own space, separate from store items. This means you can access your buildings right away, and you only need to pay a visit to the Shop whenever you’d actually like to browse what’s for sale.
Filter resetting every session:
We are looking into how to best solve this, we agree that this filtering would serve players best if it doesn’t reset every time you leave the game.
Extra tap to access core buttons:
We know the extra steps needed to request Clan Castle troops, switch accounts, open the Layout Editor and find Revenge can be frustrating. We’re reviewing each of these actions separately. For troop requests and account switching, we’re considering broader changes to how they work. Other improvements could be more straightforward, such as making Revenge easier to find when it’s available. We’re also looking at how these changes affect different play styles.
What happens next
We’ll keep reading your feedback as you spend more time with the new interface. Please keep sharing your thoughts, especially specific examples. Screenshots and details about what you’re trying to do, and where you are running into issues, help us understand your experience and where we can improve.
Thanks for taking the time to help us make Clash better, Chief.
Clash On!

I feel like guardians are no less than any hero on defence, in fact they are even better than them. I feel it's only fair that Headhunter should have guardians as priority as well as sometimes guardians feel way too OP, and this guy becomes a little more useful as well.

I started playing in April 2013 and for some reason I took this screenshot. It is my oldest picture I have of my base and it is not even my whole base.

I didn't say anything before about the new UI as everyone is already pointing out the flaws. Now I just noticed this floating button and ohh god.
Who is the UI designer? Do they even know what user experience means? I mean there is a reason why 99% mobile games have buttons near the edge of the screen and NOT AT THE TOP FLOATING ALONE. It looks ugly af.
Also for me war details shouldn't cover this much area in the clan chat. Just make it a bar at the top of the chat menu.
Keep the screen clean rather than cluttering it every chance you get.

Made a list of my personal favourite 5 skins per hero, ranked from #1 (left) to #5 (right).
Obviously, the list is very subjective, I'd love to hear other peoples opinion.
Especially the king skins feel impossible to rank, there are so many great ones just barely missing out.

Got a book of everything from a chest but if I want to use it I need to use at least one of my other books?? I’m just being forced to waste one my books on terrible value here. They need to allow temporary storage items to be used directly.

I can get used to the UI except this button screaming free at me. I collected everything this makes the UI feel like all the AI slop, Add Filled Mobile games. If this button was gone i think things would be so much better.

When the UI rework was first announced, the sub had been filled with 'Denial' and 'Anger'. I've seen countless rage posts and mostly newly made bot accounts hating on it before they released the update in game.
After the update landed in game and people finally had a taste of it, the sub quickly moved on to the 'Depression' and 'Bargaining' phase, as to some players flooding the sub with quitting the game because of the game changing the UI and some players suggesting UI reforms to make the new UI more lovable, but they got overshadowed by the quitting the game spams.
Now I've seen a couple posts trying to accept this new UI reform, walking into the 'Acceptance' phase because they know very well that Clash devs will not revert this back to the old UI, no matter how much the small minority from this subreddit cries.
However, it is likely that the devs will listen to some feedback from us and the super creators who can directly converse with the devs and make changes to the UI that fascinates the community.
The bottom line is that this subreddit is an endless cycle of the stages of grief whenever a new change comes, and in the end, people eventually will have to accept the change and hope that something good befalls in the future. If not, then the cycle continues to hating the next change the game brings.

As the goat says there is no chance the team will bring back the old ui..... Ofc they won't. But atleast I hope it gets better.

Honestly the update doesnt bother me as much after getting used to it, but the war icon moves during war when no one is using their attack... before it only moved when people fought. Now I am constantly finding myself checking who is attacking but its just an unnecessary animation, a red notification is enough imo

To Supercell: I am overall not a fan of the UI overhaul. As someone who has been playing since 2013, it has been a rough transition with many jarring differences that seem unintuitive. Much of this functionality could be implemented in the old layout. Many have already expressed their opinions on the overall experience, but the most glaring thing to me is the war notification that shows up in the middle of my screen. I am not active in wars often so I am forced to click this stupid button every time I log into the game. As someone who is not in 99% of wars for my clan, I feel like this feature is tailored to a different part of the player base and feels like casual players are being ignored to serve a different section of the layer base. If possible, make this a toggle-able field. Also, middle of the screen is an awful spot for it. It is very distracting and disruptive to the game loop of logging in, clearing notifications and seeing what is happening in the chat.

We all agree that change is a part of life so is the games, so I just wanted to share my personal POV on the new UI changes.
Personally, I appreciate that the team tried to introduce changes to give the game a fresh look. It's a good initiative, even though the community feedback so far hasn't been very positive.
1. Build Tab
The Build Tab is pretty good overall, although I feel it's a little too big. I like that I can find all my ongoing upgrades, suggested upgrades, newly available buildings, and all the remaining upgrades in one place. It makes tracking my progress much more convenient.
However, I'd suggest removing the Ores section from there, as I don't think it's necessary.
2. Customizable UI
One change that would be great, if technically possible, is allowing us to customize the UI and choose where different tabs appear.
Of course, major tabs like Build and Battle should remain fixed, but why not let us rearrange or merge some of the less frequently used tabs, just like the developers have done with the event tabs?
Let us decide which tabs we want to merge based on our preferences. If the Shop is a concern, it can remain a fixed tab. We should also be able to choose where to place frequently used tabs like Army and Revenge.
3. Making Better Use of the Top Area
The top area of the screen could be used more effectively. Instead of leaving that space underutilized, why not move the resource bars there?
We could have Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir displayed vertically at the top of the screen. This would make better use of the available space while keeping our resources easily accessible.
Pardon me, everyone, if this isn't a good idea. I'm just sharing a suggestion for making better use of that space!
4. The Real Problem With the New UI
Honestly, I don't think the new UI itself is the main problem. The real issue is the placement of certain tabs that we use daily.
For example, accessing the Army tab, Revenge tab (Battle Log), and Settings now requires an extra tap. Meanwhile, some tabs that many players don't use as frequently are much easier to access. I'm sure you know which one I'm talking about: the Shop.
That's what makes the new UI even more frustrating for many players. It's not necessarily about the new design itself, but about how inconvenient it has become to access certain essential features.
Please consider the community's feedback and make the necessary adjustments. The new UI has potential, but its usability needs improvement.
And please, don't mess this up again like you did with Hero Journey. 😭

Hay Day got special bgm for halloween and halloween look for trees and pumpkins whereas in coc ,the current devs aren't even interested to do something about Clash-O-Ween,just another genric theme ,same repetitive medal event. They don't even add the Og Halloween Bgm for Classic scenery,no halloween appearance and special tap sounds for obstacles like bushes, trees, etc. This just feels like another lame season than Clash-O-Ween.
