Got my weekend lineup chosen and sitting in the drybox. I am especially excited for a few of these. Especially, the Aphrodisiac because of the very "different" aging process prior to shipping these out. This will also be my 1st Olmec Maduro. Not sure why these have evaded my torch for so long, but that ends Friday morning with a cup of coffee. What cigar here grabs your attention? Cigars will be listed in the comments.

Enjoyed this banger last night for the first time. Very earthy with leather, pepper, and spice through out. Had great construction with an even burn and excellent smoke production. I foresee a box of these coming in the near future.

Haven't smoked in a few years. But back when I did, my favorite was the SD4. I live in the US and just found out about current Cuban prices.
Whats the best alternative that's not a Cuban?
I'm looking for a similar taste profile (the "wet hay" kind of taste. Lol)

A woman is selling an older humidor locally, said it was her father’s who passed away. She’s offering it with all the cigars in it but I’ve never seen there before. I’ve only been smoking about 2 -3 years so I’m still learning. Maybe some of you that have been smoking for a long time have seen these before? Thank you.

I dont smoke that often but so far i have been using a cheap butane torch and now 2 times in a row it has failed when i need it to light a cigar. Last time it couldnt light at all when im outside but was working inside then i got a new one that worked fine when i tested it. Now when i go to smoke cigar it all of a sudden doesnt light. Both times i had to use my trusty zippo which isnt ideal for cigars.

TL;dr: wife purchased hundreds of meh cigars for an event and had a lot left over, which I could have smoked. Next time, I will go with her to ensure she picks out a great selection of Maduro, Colorado Maduro, and maybe Natural wrappers to add to my humidor afterward.
So my wife works for an international company and one of the marketing events they do are golf tournaments. She was trying to figure out something new to draw attention so I mentioned how about doing a cigar giveaway.
She spoke with various people about the idea and some thought it was a good idea but had never seen it. Wife was still lukewarm on the idea until the cat’s claws came out. A woman from a different component but also works these events has always been quite rude to my wife. She speaks out and says she hates cigars, thinks they stink, and is very much against the idea. Well, women being the way they are my wife was very much on board. 😂
She went to a local company to get the sticks. Unfortunately, I did not go with her. She ordered 200-300 cigars and I tried one when she returned. It wasn’t terrible. The wrapper was Colorado Claro, otherwise unremarkable. She ended up with about 50 afterward.
So, she has the same event coming up in a few months. I’m going to go with her this time and make sure she gets her money’s worth and make certain it’s something *I* love. We still have about 30 or so. I give them to visitors when they don’t care about cigars or I don’t care for them. 😂 I’m going to get an infuser and try various scotches, whiskeys, and bourbons, vanilla beans, honey, chocolate, etc, experiment and try to make them a bit more palatable.
Cheers, gentlemen.

To me it's a somewhat milder version of the Alma Fuerte which is currently one of my favorites. I feel it bridges the gap between the Fuerte and Original Reserve. Ive really come to like bold cigars that aren't just pepper, spice, and nicotine bombs. As usual, perfect Placencia construction and burn. Earth, dried dates, and a bit of espresso. Many reviews cal out dried plum, but I get m my great-aunt's amazing date nut bread that me and my siblings and cousins used to fight over.
How much is you monthly budget on cigars? Is $200 too much? $300? Curious as to what others are spending. Thanks

First solo camping trip in a while, and I couldn’t have picked a better stick for the evening.
Started with a ribeye over the fire, poured a little Monkey Shoulder, and lit up this Melanio Maduro while settling in for the night.
Wow, what a cigar. Rich, smooth, incredibly creamy, with beautiful smoke production and just enough spice on the retrohale. Draw and construction have been absolutely flawless.
This is my second Melanio Maduro, and neither has disappointed. I’ve been a huge fan of the OZ Karatoba, but this might genuinely give it a run for its money. Easily one of the best cigars I’ve smoked.
A quiet campsite, a crackling fire, good Scotch, and an exceptional Maduro.
Hard to ask for much more.
10/10 so far. 🔥🥃

Hi all I puff quite a bit and lately I’ve noticed some staining on my front teeth. Have yall ever experienced this from cigar smoking? Any remedies?

La Flor Dominicana DL-700 Maduro porchador pufferation. This beast of a stogie is composed of an Ecuadorian Sumatra Oscuro wrapper, Dominican binder, and fillers with double the Ligero in the blend. Imposing an immense amount of Dominican Ligero flavor with each puff, emitting a hellacious amount of earth, leather, espresso, and spice notes with a very full-bodied and flavored finish. I’ve sonically paired this offering with the smooth sounds of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong’s (Cheek to Cheek)…

Diesel Fool's Errand - 82
low to medium bodied
Cold aromas: anise, cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla
First half: chocolate, pepper, cinnamon, coffee
Second half: leather, earth, coffee, pepper
Intro
This cigar, with such a funny name like "Fool’s Errand" and an equally funny vitola called "Simple Fool" is the second release in a trilogy of limited editions created by Justin Andrews of Diesel, in collaboration with AJ Fernandez. The blend features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan Habano binder and filler. It is a perfecto measuring 5 x 58, with a name inspired by a 1980s computer game. Given that their "Sunday Gravy" limited line turned out to be amazing, I’m looking forward to seeing how this one measures up.
The Simple Fool features a very dark wrapper, which, I was surprised to read it was Sumatra. The aromas from the wrapper are intensely spicy, leaning heavily toward sweet notes and spices like anise, cinnamon, and nutmeg; the foot, meanwhile, offers hints of white chocolate and damp wood. I use a V-cutter, and the cold draw feels a bit tight, with notes of chocolate, pepper, and a hint of cinnamon.
1/2
Starts off very tightly packed, making it quite difficult to maintain an even burn, requiring constant attention. It eventually opens up a bit and has notes of milk chocolate, pepper and cinnamon, with a retrohale that hints at sweet pepper and coffee. The ash is very well-compacted and bright white. Smoke has a respectable density, though not overly abundant because of the tight draw. Medium strength, with a medium-low intensity.
2/2
In the second half, notes are surprisingly less intense and the strength is less pronounced, mostly because the coffee and pepper notes in the retrohale are much less noticeable, being only a note of chocolate in this area. On the palate I get palate notes of pepper, cinnamon and vanilla, and a mild sweetness. The strength increases, but not the flavor intensity, and that's pretty much the experience. It takes me an hour and 15 minutes to smoke the Simple Fool.
Conclusion
I meant to divide this smoke in three thirds, as I usually do for cigars over 5 inches long, but the tight draw and wonky construction led me to just notice one transition towards the middle, so I left it at two halves. The Fool's Errand has pleasant notes and a strength level that is unusually low for the brand; yet, it’s not a cigar that compels me to smoke it again or seek it out with any real enthusiasm. A significant part of this experience came down to the draw, which was poor throughout the entire smoke. Overall, it was a decent experience, but certainly not an great one.

Ive got 4 Govees in my humidor, all calibrated.
My top shelf is 66.4%,
Upper Drawer is 65.9%
Lower Drawer is 56.6%
Bottom, under drawer is 65.6%
Anyone think of any reason that lower drawer is 10% different? The cigars I have in that drawer cant be that dried out or something where they are sucking the humidity majorly? I have aded a mini fan on the top shelf that I sporadically run to keep the air flow when the humidor fan isnt on. I was getting the typical humidity settle when the internal fan doesn't run much because it's at temperature.
I guess do i need to check to make sure the lower drawer hygro didnt go out of whack?
Also, behind the water, I have 2 5-packs of Oliva samplers with the cigars in their cellophane AND still in the 5 pack wrap. Can I just leave them in the outer wrap or do I need to remove the outer wrapper at least and just leave them in the cellophane?

I am lucky that work has decided that I must travel to Las Vegas in a couple of months, and I am of course going to be taking advantage of buying and smoking cigars that are way cheaper than in Europe. Can anyone recommend a good lounge that also has a good stocked humidor, that preferably stock Foundation.

I recently bought a cigar, but it was packed too loose and I can't smoke it. I didn't want it to go to waste, as it's one of my favorite cigars. What do you guys think about tearing it apart and smoking it in a pipe?
Sorry, forgot to add a picture. It's a leaf by Oscar Connecticut

I’m going to a Tatuaje event tonight, having never been to any events. I hope to find some out of production or LE stuff or event-only stuff, or something outside of the realm of standard production stuff. Could I be wrong? Anybody ever been to a Tatuaje event?
