That'd be my guess. Only time I've ever seen one of my cats like that that didn't result in a pounce within 5 seconds was when they came home from surgery.
Oh he's looking up, he's going for the face/hands.
I had a feral kitten who when he was tiny learned that leaping and hissing at people's faces made them leave him alone. It was extremely effective and terrifying lol. He ended up sleeping on me and getting belly rubs though, eventually.
I have had moral arguments with myself about eating beef as cows are pretty chill animals. Pork is kinda the same but not nearly as good of an argument because pigs will eat anything. I am 100% for consuming chicken because those feathery present day dinos would have human factory farms if they were in charge.
Sometimes that cat, he looks right into ya. Right into your eyes. Y'know the thing about a cat, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'... until he bites ya. And those black eyes roll over white, and then... oh, then you hear that terrible high-pitch screamin', the ocean turns red, and spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin', they all come in and they... rip you to pieces." Question my boy Kona does this with his eyes but most times he's just laying in the floor looking at me. Never pouncing or anything though. Is that something some cats do?
