What’s on my cat?

I (21F) moved in with my boyfriend a while ago. Since then my cat likes to get out of the house a lot, which he didn’t do at all in my prior apartment. Now he’ll find a way to get out whenever he can (windows, foot traffic through the house, letting the dog in and out, etc) Sometimes he’ll come back with twigs or foxtails stuck in his fur and a couple scratches, probably from cat fights, but he came back with this a while ago. Thought it was a scab but it’s been there too long. It doesn’t seem to bother him. Any idea what it could be or what to do?

Any advice for introducing a kitten to my cat?

Hello everyone! Tomorrow, I will be bringing home a 10 week old kitten. I currently have an 8 month old cat named Abraham Lincoln who I love dearly. I am just at work all the time so Hammy is mostly alone until I get home and I think he gets bored. My friend’s cat had kittens so I decided to take one as a friend for Hammy. I just don’t want to stress him out since he has been the only cat in the household since I got him.

I love in a relatively small apartment where the only doors are to the bedroom and the bathroom. Does anyone have any tips on how to make this as smooth as possible? What worked for you when introducing your fur babies?

First pic is Hammy and second is the new baby :)

I adopted a cat 10 days before, and everything was good until i found she may have a disease. Today she peed outside of her cabin and there was some blood and something that seems like a warm. i’m still not sure what is that. her poop is normal, she does not vomit. her stomach is little big compared to normal. and she sleeps all day long. when i touch her stomach she is really angry. until time comes to our meeting with vet, i don’t know what should i do. i add the photo of the pee i found. i hope it will not disturb anyone. if there is someone that see something like that or know what it is please let me know

Will my lost cat come back?

I accidentally scared my lost cat will he come back

Okay so I haven't had theses two cats very long they are in a year a half old and my boyfriend and i adopted them a couple weeks ago and about a week into having them they slid open the basement window and got out when we were at work when we got home a few hours later the black cat (Stan) was missing and the other one chose to stay inside.

The cat that stayed (frank) has been non stop meowing at the window and been super needy since Stan got out. we have put used litter outside, alerted neighbours and posted in local groups about him missing as he's microchipped, nurtured and fully vaccinated so I'm not concerned about that. It's been a week now and when we were cooking dinner tonight we look led out the window and Stan was out side when we came out the house he ran away and was able to catch him and pick him up without struggle but a car then sped by us making a loud noise startling Stan and he scratched and freaked out and ran away again.

Before he got loose he was super affectionate towards us and constantly wanted to cuddle and get attention and seemed very happy and comfortable but was never afraid of us but is skiddish with new people and loud sounds.

I'm scarred that since we chased him and he got startled he won't come back. Does anyone have advice or experience in this situation and can give advice or help? Will he come back?

Recovery after neuturing

Post image

My 16month old cat was neutered Monday evening. He got home about 9:30 and seemed a little wobbly but was eating and drinking and moving around. Later into Tuesday he started being lethargic and not wanting food. Still drinking lots though. Wednesday same (sleepy, stayed in one place) but was less interested in food. Wednesday late evening he vomited bile twice. Yesterday (Thursday) ate a little bit but vomited bile a few times throughout the day. And again today (Friday) same thing, Not interested in food, lethargic, just wants to hang in his favorite sleeping spots and not move. He is coming when called and is using his litter box. Could his anesthesia possibly have just taken longer to wear off and the normal side effects just started a little later?? I’ve read so many conflicting things: 48hrs, 5-7days, 10 days. 1-2 weeks?? I know every cat is different and there’s no “standard” recovery time but I’m looking to put my mind at ease a bit. His brother cat was neutered on the same day and his owner said that he is also seeming less active and won’t eat after day 2…. This is my 14 year old son’s cat. He is obsessed with this little furball and I’m dreading having to tell him something is wrong… any advice or shared experiences??
