Threads is trying to trackdown the location in question and save this cat. Any help finding the cat and if possible take it in is appreciated! I thought I would post here for the Threads user. Comments in the Threads post speculate that the location may be in Tampa, FL but we are unsure. We know the headquarters is in Cartersville, Georgia. Does anyone recognize this location? Link to the post provided. Please if possible forward any information there…

"Does anyone …recognize this location? He posted a video on 10/6/26. His response to seeing a small suffering creature was to call him a "creepy ass cat".

This kitty looks malnourished, possibly injured, and desperate for help. No idea why this was on my timeline since I'm a compassionate animal advocate, but I'm involved now.

My comment got 14k likes but I want to stop engagement on his post. Hopefully we can get this poor cat a soft place to land!"

Very large drone spotted in cartersville. I watched it raise over a one story building then started recording but edited out the first bit of the video for privacy reasons. Watched this sucker raise straight up for a good 55 seconds until it just took off in a straight line as seen above. Anyone know what this is?

Sold our house in John Creek an looking to move to Cartersville area. Or that was the 5 year plan anyway. It ticked all the boxes. Not too far from Airport, closer to grandkids, more affordable, quieter. Five years go by and By the time we were ready it seems that Datacenters are the big worry. After a day of looking at homes, we stopped at a small pizza place. Mgr (nice guy from Johns Creek!) told us all about the Datacenters being built. The rest owner has a bunch of food trucks and they service the guys building the centers. They have 9 trucks to feed the crews. Yikes! There are three/Four being built almost surrounding the town. It seems you can't avoid it.

Looking for recommendations for a trustworthy, reliable, and not super expensive shop or mobile mechanic. Have 1 vehicle that im pretty sure needs a CV axle replaced but also would like to have it fully inspected for further issues. Once done with that vehicle I have a truck that will also be getting some TLC in the form of timing chains replaced as well as the brakes.

What's actually hiring out here?

Heads up to Cartersville, GA!

Heads up to Cartersville, GA!

My family and I are looking to relocate to Northwest GA, looking around Cartersville/Rockmart/Rome area.

There are a couple houses in Lindale that have piqued my interest.

Can anyone tell me about the area please? Is it worth looking into?

We have six young kids and we’ll be moving from a pretty rough area, so we are looking for a safer place to live.

Thank you!

Hey everyone!

I live right here in North Georgia (Cartersville area), and I’ve been working on a project called ByTowns to help connect our local communities, small businesses, and residents in a way that big social media platforms just don’t cover anymore.

Whether you're in Cartersville, Adairsville, Kennesaw, Marietta, Rome, or Kingston, the goal is to make it super easy to discover what’s happening locally, find trusted local services, and support small businesses in our backyard.

You might even see my branded car driving around town or catch me handing out flyers to local shop owners this week!

The platform is live, and I’d love to get feedback from fellow locals to make it as useful as possible for our area.

Check it out here: [Link a ByTowns]

If you own a local business, feel free to drop a comment or reach out—I'd be happy to help you get set up! Appreciate any thoughts or feedback from the community.

I’m fine going solo to the movies but it’s always nice to have company as well. I typically see about 3/4 of the movies that play at the AMC here. Anybody else?

Which have you used, which do you prefer, and are there any alternatives (like an independent driver or local business)? Thanks!

Edit: I'd also be interested in people's experiences with services like Instacart and Door Dash. I'm asking on behalf of someone who lives on the outskirts of Cartersville, who can't drive atm.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an attorney in or near Cartersville that can draw up wills for a couple at a reasonable price? Thanks.

Splashville is a new water park at Hamilton Crossing in Bartow County opening Memorial Day Weekend. Opening Day is May 23, 2026.

Includes a zero-entry pool, 10-foot-wide lazy river, multiple flume slides and an interactive splash pad. The lazy river is said to be the longest lazy river in Georgia for a municipal water park. Everything is looking great including the landscaping and adjacent pond. The pools are already filled and the lazy river and slides are testing with the installers and manufacturers to get everything right for opening day.
