As a Canes fan who was checking in on SKA sites prior to your arrival, consuming every video, I could. I got our family pretty hyped up for your arrival, and loved your growing game last year. We always looked for you on your shifts. A concussion in the playoffs really sucked, we hope you healed well. Just want to say, it would be wonderful if you came back to the canes, even for 2-3 years in a prove-it mindset.

I recently found this Reebok/CCM Carolina Hurricanes jersey at a thrift store for $10 CAD. It has around 15–20 signatures across the front logo.

I don’t really watch hockey or know much about it, so I’d appreciate some help figuring out what I found!
I’m mainly wondering:

Can anyone identify the signatures?

What year or team roster could this be from?

How much would something like this be worth?

My radio feed of the game the other night was constantly starting and stopping and had ads running after every few minutes. After reaching out to the 99.9 station itself, they told me that per new NHL guidelines we cannot stream games outside of a 500-mile radius of Raleigh. Anyone else having a similar issue?

I love the sport and I've played it most of my life. I'm a goalie, so most of my insights come from playing goal.

My question is specific to the canes...

Every year there seems to be a fourth line forward who comes to life in October. Obviously Jank is doing that right now... But there have been a few over the years.

They typically cool off around Thanksgiving and go back to their normal cadence of 10 goals. Maybe a handful of assists... Excellent energy.

What causes that? Is it Rods system?

I did a couple things different here. First, I looked just going into the third period. So blowing leads, or coming back from a deficit in the third.

Then I looked at this controlling for team quality. Not in the worlds most rigorous way, just imagine this scenario:

1. You play 100 games, and in 35 of them you enter the third behind
2. You win 9 of the 35, which is 26%. Is that good or bad?
3. Well, in your other 65 games you took about 78% of the points, and other teams in the league at that level come back from trailing at 15%, which is ~5 games.
4. Therefore, you make come backs a bit more than expected, 4 more times than expected.
5. Over the five and change seasons, anything within about 9 games of expectation is normal variation

I think this gives a much more interesting picture of teams that make come backs and blow leads, irrespective of just "good teams good bad teams bad."

BTW, in 466 games the Canes came back in 28 of 135, expected 25 (+3) and blew 25 of 226 leads, expected 21 (+4)

Other than eBay, where is the best place to bid on/buy goal pucks?

Is there a website where the team directly sells them?

I recently got an Aho goal puck from the March game in Tampa (I was there) but I dont think paying the secondary market prices will be sustainable at $200+ a puck
