Wedding Cakes Cute little Naked Cake
I know naked cakes are out right now, but I still like them

I’m going to post and sticky this link RinLongFlowers as a guide for florals on cake.
Recently we have seen a few cakes with florals that were not appropriate for cakes, and subsequently, flags to ban them for using toxic flowers.
Not only is this sub to show off our beautiful work, it is also to learn from and teach each other. Mistakes, no matter how big or small, are an opportunity to learn.
We are all at different levels of ability in this art. Please be kind.

A cute cake with a simple concept, chocolate and peanut butter! The cake is chocolate and it had peanut butter buttercream frosting and filling which was super delicious. Overall, cute and fun to make!

first time posting on this sub ! thought i'd share this cake i recently decorated for my birthday last sunday. it's a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting. my mum baked the cake (i know how to bake but she has always baked my birthday cakes) and i made the frosting as i am usually the one who decorates whatever my mum bakes. i looked up a bunch of inspos from pinterest and ultimately arrived at this design.
i love light pink, hearts, and bows so i made sure to incorporate those elements in my cake. i wrote in the text using a pink chocolate pen i got from my local ¥100 shop (i live in japan). it's certainly not perfect but i really loved how my cake turned out ♡

I interviewed for a job at a bakery this morning. Up to now, cake decorating was just a hobby, but I'm now on a career track to start my own wedding & celebration cakes business, so this job would be a really excellent opportunity to increase my skill level.
The talking portion went great, so they put me on the spot and had me decorate a cake. It was a lot of pressure, but I decided that it didn't have to be perfect. I had fun with it and took some risks. I've never piped roses before today, and I think they came out decent, considering. I failed twice to transfer a rose onto the side, so I improvised piping a peony directly onto the side.
So what do you think? Should they hire me?

He’s really into skulls so the cacti went nicely with the theme. My first time making buttercream, sadly it was too runny to make the cactus I wanted to. But I’m still happy with how this one turned out.

Customer ordered yesterday & said her daughter loved girly dinosaurs and books. Said to do whatever design wise (love when the customers let me have fun lol). I work at a grocery store so not supposed to spend too much time on individual orders but gave this one some extra love & im so happy with how it turned out, had to share!!

Been dying to do something like this, finally got the opportunity and was given free reign on the design. Easily the prettiest cake I've ever made. Stoked!
Fingers crossed this inspires customers to order cakes in this style, I'm really wanting to do more pretty piping, but everyone seems to just want chunky heart cakes atm. Getting bored!

I'm much better at working with paper than at cakes, so I printed the drawing on paper and created a stencil I filled with cocoa. I cutted parts of a pink wafer paper topper that I found at the supermarket. It turned out better than expected honestly and for real cheap!

My first buttercream transfer and about 70% successful lol. I had to freehand the parts that didn’t stick but overall quite pleased!

Had fun doing this. It's brown butter cake with brown butter frosting. I love how the brown butter gave this nice rustic flecked background for the flowers.

Not perfectly decorated by any means, but since it's my birthday I decided to try out a few techniques I wanted to practice.
It was delicious though. Apple spice cake, dulce de leche filling and cream cheese frosting.
