We’re CNLINKO, an industrial connector manufacturer.
For equipment that is regularly disconnected for maintenance, we’d check three things together:
• Sealing conditions: Does the IP rating apply when connected, when disconnected, or with a protective cap fitted? Also check the specified cable diameter and assembly requirements.
• Mating cycles: Does the exact connector model support the expected number of connections and disconnections? A quick-release mechanism and a durability rating answer different questions.
• Access: Can the operator reach the release mechanism and route the cable without excessive bending or strain?
As one example, our LP20 three-pin power connector is listed with a snap-lock connection, IP68/IPX9K protection and at least 2,000 mating cycles. Suitability still depends on the selected part, installation space, cable and operating conditions.
For your equipment, which causes more maintenance trouble: slow disconnection, worn connectors, or protecting the exposed connection after unplugging?
