Creating an LLC?

Hey folks recently I've made the transition to self employment, mostly TV sports broadcast work. But as of late I've been making some good money with woodworking. The sports stuff is all 10-99 work but the woodworking is under the table. I'd like to be able to write off some tools that I'm using for both TV work and woodworking. Would creating an LLC allow me to group both under one name and benefit from it?

An LLC does nothing in terms of deductible expenses.

You can brand however you like, but I think woodworking and broadcasting are too far apart to combine
