It's down to just TB for me caring, personally. But seeing TB v MIL as two incredibly tough small market teams in the fall classic would be great.

While I'm not a fan of the current playoff format---too many teams get in---it has been an interesting and fun postseason thus far. It was nice to see the perpetual dirtbag - afterthought White Sox get in and actually win a series before they took Cleveland to five games before bowing out. The Guardians don't have the firepower to take out the Rays, so I expect Tampa to represent the American League in the WS. In the NL, the Brewers have a puncher's chance against the Dodgers. It will probably be LA but a Milwaukee victory would not shock me. However I would expect the NLCS to go at least six games while Tampa could sweep Cleveland. I think the Rays will dispatch them in five games at most. So Tampa should be rested going into the WS and they might be favored as a result.

With 12 total teams currently making it to the postseason, the format is exactly right with the best-of-3, best-of-5, best-of-7, best-of-7 format. The postseason already stretches into November and is too watered down. Stretching it out any longer would be lunacy.
The fix for anyone who doesn't like the current format is to eliminate two WC berths in each league, and go to best-of-7 throughout. This would be the ideal. The extremely lengthy 162-game schedule is what should winnow the playoff field down to small number.

Rooting for the Guradians here for a couple of reasons .
The no World Series championships since 1948 (agonizgly close a couple of times though).
I think it’s refreshing that a future HOF will play his entire career in one smaller market. That and I feel Ramirez is an underapreciated superstar player.
