So according to actual commitments and estimates on ARB/Pre-Arb players, the Pirates total payroll in 2027 is already up to $100.35M. Their payroll this year added up to like $107M max. Hoping we actually end up with a salary floor after this CBA because I do not trust Bob to actually raise the payroll a whole lot if at all.

Same. I’m willing to lose quite a lot of baseball to preserve the future of the sport for teams like the Pirates, or their fans I should say. We deserve it. We shouldn’t have to do it this way, but…

Watching Yankees’ infield defense today is like watching a infield made out of 4 Nick Gonzales trying to field a routine ground ball

I don’t hate the Yankees like some here. But watching them get outclassed by TB like this is fun.

I feel for CLE fans . It’s the same junk every year . Great pitching but not enough bats. This is just not an offense that can succeed and win multiple playoff rounds.

Man, the Rays are putting an absolute clinic on the Yankees in fundamental baseball. This game is only 5-1 right now but this could easily be 8-1. Schlittler got bounced early and overall Yankees pitchers had to throw 20+ pitches in 3 of the 5 innings so far.
