I think Balazs Toth was one of the biggest reasons Blackburn came away with all three points against Bristol City. We won 1-0 thanks to Dapo Afolayan's goal, but Toth had to make several important saves, including stopping Scott Twine's 30-yard free-kick. For me, these are the kind of performances that can make a real difference over a long Championship season. We won't dominate every game, so having a goalkeeper who can keep us in it when the pressure builds is a massive advantage. I'd love to see the team build on this result and keep making life difficult for opponents.

Hi everyone, the members of the Fan Panel are due to meet on Tuesday 20th October to collate issues and agree a proposed agenda for our first Panel meeting with the club (not that we have any idea when that will be as we’re still waiting for the club to get back to us with dates)

So if you would like to suggest any key issues or queries I can submit to the agenda meeting for the panel to discuss please add a comment below.

Alternatively, you can visit the fan panel site created by one of the reps to see what has also been suggested and back your most important issues.

We did enquire about changing the title to Fan Advisory Board to avoid the acronym problem but the club said no of course! 🙄

Quick question (and thanks to the mods for letting me ask) ... Do you read BRFCS.com and if not why not?

Winning 1–0 away at Bristol City is a result worth celebrating, especially after beating Cardiff 2–1. But the team managed just three shots in the Bristol City game, which makes the clean sheet and defensive effort even more important. The result shows Rovers can grind out wins when they need to, but there will be games where sitting back and taking very few chances won't be enough. A bit more attacking threat would make this team much harder to deal with. Even creating a few more clear chances would make a difference.

It is great when attacking players hit form, but opponents eventually work out where the main threat is coming from. Afolayan and Morishita have been important, although Guojohnsen has contributed well too. We still need goals and assists from more areas of the pitch so that one quiet afternoon from our main attacking players does not leave us struggling to create anything.

From Shearer and Sutton to Jordan Rhodes, Yakubu, and Adam Armstrong, Blackburn's best seasons always coincide with a striker who guarantees 20+ goals. In the modern Championship, prolific goalscorers are either priced out of our reach or snapped up by parachute-payment clubs. Do we need to gamble on unearthing overseas talent, or build a system that spreads goals across the entire front line?

Hi all, thought I would update following my previous post about a month ago regarding the FAP. (https://www.reddit.com/r/brfc/s/hZPQpMSgFT)

Firstly, just want to say thank you to anyone who voted for me as I was successful in the election.

The club have published the individuals and supporter groups who will form the panel for the next 12 months:

As part of my role, I would like to ensure transparency in this process with the fan base and use this subreddit as a means of gathering input and feedback on any matters concerning the club.

Last night (Wednesday 30th Sept) we had our induction training session hosted by the FSA at Ewood to inform us of our roles and responsibilities, best practices etc. it was a really interesting session and more will be published by Rovers regarding the Terms of Reference of the FAP and details of the members in the coming weeks.

Some key takeaways from the training:
- The FAP will not discuss on-pitch matters (albeit there are blurred lines when it comes to this)
- The panel will meet four times a season, with the first one within the next month or so (tbc)
- Staff attendance will fluctuate depending on agenda

One point I did want to shed a positive light on as it shows the club are committed to fan engagement and taking on board feedback was the impact the kit survey over the summer had on the direction of design for 27/28. My understanding is they have ended up going a completely different way than first intended based on the results of that survey so we should hopefully be in for some decent kits next season! (fingers crossed)

In the weeks leading up to our first session, I will make a post on here giving everyone an opportunity to raise matters which I can submit as part of the agenda of the meeting.

If anyone has any questions, just drop them below.

Cheers,
Cal

For those who usually park at the stadium...

I don't usually, but I need to leave before the end of the match so want the car to be closeby - are there any restrictions on getting out of the car park before the end? Say 60 mins or so

I'm the one next to the road where the coaches usually park.

Thanks

Been keeping an eye on the academy lads and wondering who everyone thinks could be the next one to really break through. Who do you think is closest to getting regular first team minutes? And how do you think we're doing at bringing the younger lads through into Championship football?

Great to see Carter loving life under Mowbray again, but does it make you miss Mogga’s management style at Ewood?

I'm reading this book from the early 2000s and there's a section where a list of officers are assigned duties:

Wilcox

Atkins

Sherwood

Ripley

Is this a coincidence? A briefly looked online and couldn't find anything but if it's random, what are the odds?

Balaji Rao has returned to Ewood Park for the first time since 2018, attending Blackburn’s 3 - 1 win over Millwall. His appearance has sparked discussion among supporters about whether it signals greater involvement from Venky’s. The main issue is whether the visit leads to actual backing for Tony Mowbray and investment in the squad, particularly in January.

I see people on Twitter calling for the manager’s head after every draw, but what do you honestly expect him to do?

Look at our bench compared to the rest of the top half of the Championship. We’ve already seen how quickly the squad depth gets exposed when injuries and absences pile up, with teenagers having to make the bench and step into first-team football.

You can have Pep Guardiola in the dugout, but if his options to change a game in the 70th minute are unproven academy lads and squad fillers, we're going nowhere.

We're 8 games in and sitting 16th on 9 points, so there's still a ridiculous amount of season left to play.

That's the thing with the Championship though. A decent run can suddenly put you looking towards the play-offs, while a few poor results can drag you towards the wrong end of the table.

Where do you honestly see Rovers finishing come May?

I'm genuinely confused as to why Tuchel is so against picking Wharton for the England squad, especially since multiple first choice players have declined the offer?
