I’m also looking for someone who can help with motivation, feeling stuck in life/career, and figuring out a sense of direction.

Ideally someone who combines traditional talk therapy with a more practical, action-oriented approach.

Hey guys I plan to establish residency in Montana but I do not know how to get instate tuition, as there’s apparently a lot of complications, does anyone know how, so I don’t have to go in debt? Or does anyone have any tips? I’m moving from AL, if that helps.

Could use some help finding a consumer protection attorney in Montana. I have a Jeep Wrangler which is a lemon under Montana law and have really struggled finding an attorney to take on the case. It’s not to say I don’t have a case. The GM at Billion told me to aggressively pursue a case due to our car being in the shop more than 4 months with an ongoing safety issue. It’s simply that every attorney I’ve reached out to replies that they don’t practice Lemon law. I’d really appreciate any direction from someone who’s been thru this and was successfully able to find a competent attorney practicing this specialty.

With my ballot being delivered yesterday and the upcoming election I am having a difficult time deciding on the Bozeman Study Comissions proposal to change to non-partisan elections.

On the one hand I dont think all of positions listed need to a political party affiliation, but unlike supreme court justices there is a much lower barrier of entry to these positions. The jobs of these elected officials are the most powerful and direct control over my day to day life. I think the change from a R county attorney to a D has made a marked improvement in the county. As an example revelation of the unprosecuted SA files a few years ago. Without this change in leadership I doubt this would have come to light.

For myself I am not well versed in nitty gritty details of each elected person and often utilize the party affiliation (among other details) to make a choice. So I went searching for some information and research on when/if non-partisan elections are a better system. I found this lecture from Dr David Parker back in 2019 and it was both informative and has helped me make a decision on this particular proposal.

Obviously this comes from a partisan source but I haven't found any data/studies that show it makes a big improvement at this hyper local level. What are your opinions on the proposed change?

Saw a heck of a crash this afternoon @ 7th & Mendenhall. I was waiting at the light when it appears a car ran it and got T-boned by an SUV! Metal flying everywhere, looked bad as it happened but I don't think anyone was seriously hurt. One guy looked fine as he walked to the other car, the other driver seemed okay. Does anyone familiar with Montana rental law understand how the 14 day repair deadline and 30 day lease termination date work under MCA 70-24-406?

We gave our property management written notice about a nonworking thermostat that prevents us from operating the heat. The notice stated that we elected to terminate the rental agreement on day 30 if the repairs weren’t completed within 14 days. It’s now past day 14, and the problem still hasn’t been fixed.

If they missed the 14 day deadline, can we proceed with termination and move out by day 30, or would fixing it between day 14 and day 30 prevent the lease from terminating? I’m confused about how the repair deadline works with the exception for fixing the breach “before the date specified in the notice.”

We’re meeting with an attorney, but I’d appreciate any insight or relevant sources in the meantime.
