I was excited to read this one because I loved Saramago’s novel Cain when I read it in a university course… but Death with Interruptions wasn’t as good, I think. The first half was promising, but the ending was meh for me. I really preferred the reflections on a world without death and its implications over reading about death’s clichéd love story. I’d give it maybe a 2.5/5, I think.
