Paid Post, Waiting for payment This is because general audience does not have good taste in movies. Otherwise Oscar deserving movie Dhurandhar would be on the number one spot for peak detailing and aura of supreme hero Modi ji's cameos

Spiderman is doing good at Indian box-office because most of the Indian can crawl on wall and ceiling. They can shoot webs, can swing like spiderman.

Nah most of the indians are web devolepers or building web crawlers...they seek inspiration from the og web designer.

I watched it in PVR lmao... The standard rates are 220-230 in PVR..
Imagine using chatgpt as your source you neanderthal
And FYI, Single screen theatres have better audio and Video quality than pvr and Cinepolis where I live...
3
u/BreadfruitFeeling247 Aug 06 '26
I watched it in PVR too and it cost me 450. It's not the same everywhere.
0
u/Ecstatic-Scratch-151 Aug 06 '26
No one said it is . That idiot above said it's 350 in small cities.. it's not, it's much cheaper
2
u/BreadfruitFeeling247 Aug 06 '26
I'm from Guwahati and I wouldn't consider it a really big city but the ticket prices are still more than 350 in almost every theatre not just PVR. Maybe it's cheaper in other places though. Prices in Guwahati tend to be more expensive than many other places.

Indian films has limited audience worldwide coz of the regional languages, Spiderman is a 30+ yr old franchise the first superhero movie released in India with nostalgia factor, & the Avengers factor, as for global collection English is the most spoken language with far more audience worldwide it vl hv this collection, Comparing it with any Indian film is lack of common sense & Plain Stupid
-2
u/Vagabondjokester Aug 03 '26
More importantly its also a very good film compared to Pathan or Dhurandhar.
7
u/Avyakta07 Aug 03 '26
Compared to Pathan yes but I would put D1 above it
1
1
u/BreadfruitFeeling247 Aug 06 '26
Definitely better than Pathan but I wouldn't place it above Dhurandhar. Looking at it just as a movie, dhurandhar was a good film.
0
u/Ok_Entertainment1040 Aug 03 '26
Ofcourse...even better than Maqbool or the Apu trilogy. It's the best cinema ever made in the world. Thatnj god we are living in this time as we can watch this absolute peak of human creativity.

Dhurandhar k sath itna obsessed hai ye sub ki lgta hai gand me le rkha hai uska land and muh me aata hai, koi aur movie dekho, and kuch bolne jao to usse phle dhurandhar aata hai, I mean cmon, hate it all you want but uss hate se bahar bhi to niklo, koi dusri movie aae ya na aaye, acha kre ya na kre, dhurandhar ko phle laoge. Itna low self esteem khi nhi dekha.

Koi nahi. Take 10 years, make 5 more dhurandhar movies, create a brand. If at the end it manages to beat Spiderman in any way, we'll admit you are right! Sounds like a fair deal to me!
3
u/Avyakta07 Aug 03 '26
10 Years??? Lol Spiderman is one of the biggest Ip ever it alone could rival all of DC lmao, stop this bs comparison and its obv true Spiderman is indeed a brand

Have nothing against the spider man brand! Loved the original (Tobey Maguire version)
Amazing spiderman bhi theek tha
But Tom Holland version? Spiderman brand ka mazak bana hai.
Dhurandhar over his version anyday!

Andrew's version had emotions
Tom's version too childish for me!
It's more about what age you are watching the movie..
Back in teenage ..might have loved Tom's version
But not now.

tom holland spiderman is literally the comics accurate spiderman bhai what are you on?

u/No_Sea2373 Aug 03 '26
This is exactly the reason why Indian audiences are called backward internationally. Not because you chose one over the other, but because your choices are often backed by ignorant logic and zero rational. Nothing against dhurandhar, bro. π .

Matlb original comment me Orignal spiderman se compare kara tha Tom Holland ke version ko.
Lost its soul! Dhurandhar me novelty thi. Drama tha. High octane action tha.
Alag tha normal bollywood movies se.
And spider man ka same whi repetitive story line.
Matlb Dhurandhar pasand aayi toh matlb BJP supporter!

My biggest concern is that spiderman has Tom Holland as a the lead who doesnt come from nepotism, who is pure talent and even then gets the biggest projects in Hollywood.
Aisa project india mein bane aur nepo baby lead na kare aisa ho hi nahi sakta. Look at Ramayana they could have gone for a new face, no one will watch the movie because of the actors in any case they will all go for the scale and story itself. But even with a sure shot project Bollywood will never cast a new comer
1
u/TurbulentArtist9795 Aug 03 '26
Why you people keep crying about Dhurandar did the director hurt your narrative?
1
u/Emergency_Pea_61652 Aug 03 '26
Dhurandhar se itna obsession kyun hai ki Spidey ki appreciation post pe bhi Spidey se jyada Dhurandhar ki baat kar rahe? Ho gaya bhai, jisko kamaana tha wo kamaa ke chala gaya, jisko dekhna tha wo dekh ke khush ho liya, ye kya baat baat pe Dhurandhar Dhurandhar?

u/strng_lurk Aug 04 '26
India has a massive teen population that are in 13- 18 age group who follow comic book culture, etc. hence the bigger numbers
1
u/Dark-Hold-reader Aug 04 '26
Dhurandhar was really a good movie, I don't know if those scenes were true or was it a propoganda... But pakistani Darr gye the that was fun part ππ...
Beside all that, Spiderman popularity is something where no one comes close!

Dhurandhar wasn't a bad movie though. Idk if someone feels like it's propaganda but as a movie, both Dhurandhar 1 & 2 were actually really good. Dhurandhar the revenge had a bigger opening Ig? And before anyone calls me andhbhakt, I despise every political party of our country.

It's because of people like you that the actual topics lose their weight as you guys try to joke around and try to act all funny.
The person who made dhurandhar, made the movie, got the profit, and is sleeping next to a beautiful wife while spending the money he earned from a movie. The person who the director glazed is running a country (badly, but still) and has a lot of money and power and probably lives in a house worth more than your entire family.
But lowlifes like you have no other thought in your pea sized brain other than "trying" to joke on such topics.
Do something good for the society, try to become influential and do good work. But no, you want to bring an Indian movie into this. Atleast the movie director made a movie which has ranked on the top, globally. Something which you might never even remotely dream of achieving.
2
u/ibarfi Aug 03 '26
Dharunder is tatti movie which no one will remember in 2 years time. Writing Dharunder in the same sentence as Brand new day is an insult to Spider-Man and itβs fandom

All it took to beat Dhurandhar was a 30 year old franchise starring the world's most popular superhero backed by the biggest studio in the world with a massive budget and global stars. Easy.
In any other part of the world, people would be thrilled that a locally made movie on a much smaller budget with local stars is competing with Spiderman. Lekin Indians ko khud ki maarne me maza aata hai.
1
u/Holymist69 Aug 03 '26
How can we talk about any other movie without mentioning dhurandhar in this sub... I guess we never know
1
u/Nicolaus16 Aug 03 '26
It is dhurandhar not dhurandhar the revenge. Dhurandhar part 1 didn't had a big opening as it was not popular at the time it released but became popular due to it word of mouth. So, do not mislead. Spiderman is an established IP so it is obvious it will do big numbers but dhurandhar franchise made that pop cultural impact (in India) from scratch.

This fascist government won't be in power forever. Sooner or later, they'll go. No empire; however strong, persists forever. And once they go, that duology would only be a laughing stock of a country's fascist past - just like propaganda movies of nazi Germany & kkk movies of last century USA.
