Bocconi Financial Aid 2027-28

TL;DR

  1. Bocconi4Access opens only after enrollment, with fixed windows. Barring a few scholarship types, for all aid, Bocconi has a common application called “Single Application”
  2. Aid is need-based and not guaranteed.
  3. Every document is for Jan-Dec 2025, must be legalised and officially translated, and can’t be added or fixed after submission.
  4. Legalisation and translation can take weeks, so start early.
  5. ISU needs the Bocconi4Access application first.

When will the application open?
The application is open, but undergrad students can apply for Bocconi4Access ONLY after they finish their enrolment process.
If you login to the application right now, you will not be able to access the undergrad funding page.
If you get an admission offer, and you finish the enrollment process, within 2-3 hours after you get a confirmation email about the enrollment process completion, you will be able to apply for Bocconi4Access.

When to apply for Bocconi4Access?
If you applied in the Early Session, the application will open on 12th November 2026 and close on 30th November 2026. Results will be declared by 25th February 2027.
If you apply in Winter Session, the application will open on 15th March 2027 and close on 5th April 2027. Results will be declared by 27th May 2027.
If you are transferring to Bocconi from another university, you will have the same timelines as Winter Session applicants.
If you are an HEC 3rd round applicant (dual degree), the application will open on 27th May 2027 and close on 4th June 2027. Results will be declared by 8th July 2027.

One clarification
Bocconi provides need-based scholarships under two names:

  1. Bocconi Access to Education Scholarships - these are tuition waivers amounting to 60%, 80% or 100% of the ordinary academic tuition plus fees.
  2. Bocconi Boost Your Future Scholarships - these are tuition waivers amounting to 20% or 40% of the ordinary academic tuition plus fees.

Who can apply for Bocconi4Access?
Only applicants who

  1. Get an admission offer
  2. Finish the enrollment process by paying the first installment and fulfilling the English proficiency requirement.

Note: First installment will be refunded if an applicant decides to withdraw from the program within specific deadlines for each selection round. The deadline is - 2 working days from the date of publication of Bocconi4Access results.Any refund request later than this 2-day deadline will lead to a partial refund or may be denied altogether.

How does Bocconi4Access work?

  1. You submit your documents (see list and process below)
  2. Bocconi authorities evaluate the documents and determine how much need-based financial aid you will be eligible for.
  3. They inform you about the aid decision.

What should you know about the process?

  1. Submitting an application does not automatically qualify you for aid. The final decision on aid - who gets it and how much - remains with the Bocconi authorities.
  2. All documents must be uploaded, properly translated and apostilled (read below) and complete before you submit the application.
  3. Once an application is submitted, you cannot upload a new document, or submit any missing documents, or request a change of document, or provide any more details.
  4. Any application with incomplete, improper, or unverifiable documents will not be processed.
  5. Bocconi does not accept self declarations, affidavits, or documents legalized by an authority except the ones listed above. All documents must come from the competent authority only.

What should you know about the documents?

  1. Every document must be issued by the competent authority.
  2. Every original document must be either apostilled or legalized by Italian diplomatic or consular mission in the country of the applicant
  3. Every document that is NOT in Italian must be accompanied by a translation from a translator certified by the competent diplomatic or consular mission. These translators have an identification number issued by the consulate/embassy, which they provide on the translation. A translation done by any other individual, will NOT be accepted. A translation generated using online translation tools or AI tools will also NOT be accepted. Any translation that does not have the seal and identification of the official translator will be rejected.

Additional note on documents:

  1. For applicants admitted for the 2027-28 intake, documents will be required for the calendar year 2025 i.e. 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025. If your country has a different financial year calculation e.g. April to March, please ensure your documents cover the duration of January to December.
  2. It is recommended to prepare the supporting documents well in advance, because translation and legalization can take up to 2 weeks or more in some countries.
  3. All documents are to be submitted online only. No document is to be submitted in hard copy/by post or courier. The original documents must be preserved, in case Bocconi authorities ask for an in-person verification when the student joins the university in September 2027.

What documents will be required?

  1. Two documents - the “Funding Application a.y. 2027-28” and the “Information privacy” document (that explains how your information is processed) - will only be available after you get access to the application. Download these documents, print them, and all adult members of the family (18 or above) must sign these documents. These must be hand signatures. Digital signatures will not be accepted. Any household members under 18 are not required to sign these documents. The signatures must match the corresponding identity document to be uploaded in the portal. Identity documents that show the photo, full name, date of birth/age and signature of each signing member, must be uploaded in the portal. The application, the information privacy document, and the identity documents do not need to be translated, legalized or apostilled.
  2. Certificate of family composition (also known as the document of original and de facto family composition) issued by the competent authority for family unit certificates in the student’s country. This document clearly mentions how many individuals live together in the family, and how many of these are dependent (it must either show the age of the members or date of birth). This document can be in the local language and will require legalization and translation.
  3. Tax returns of all adult family members. This must be the recent tax return document for Calendar year 2025. The tax return document must show computation of income from all sources. If you live in a country where financial year is April to March, upload 2 consecutive 2 tax return documents.. If an adult family member does not file a tax return for any reason e.g. no income or income below taxable limit, a nil tax return or a confirmation from the Tax Authority (that this individual did not file any tax returns) needs to be presented. This document will require legalization and translation.
  4. A document stating how many financially dependent family members, living in the same household/family unit, are supported by the earning members of that family. Please contact your local tax office or local authorities e.g. a district collector (if you live in India) to procure this document. If the number of financially dependent family members is listed on the tax return document, no separate document is required. This document will require legalisation and translation.
  5. Property tax document showing the value of property and tax paid. This document will require legalisation and translation. If none of the earning members own a property, please read point no. 13 below.
  6. Salary statement 12 months) for all earning members, including those who have retired within the last 12 months. This document is required even if the salary information is mentioned in the tax return. For Indian applicants, this information is present in Form 16 (two consecutive years) issued by the employer. This document will require legalisation and translation.
  7. 6 months-bank statements for all earning family members showing all transactions from all banks in which the earning members have an account. This must be legalized and translated. If the total bank statement exceeds 40 pages (per person), only transactions for the first quarter and last quarter of the year must be translated.
  8. 6-months bank statements of all non-earning family members. This document must be legalized and translated. The university might request a 12-months bank statement for any family member - earning or non-earning - at any point during the documents evaluation.
  9. A statement showing all holdings in stocks, mutual funds, deposits - fixed and recurring, and any similar assets, issued by bank or depository institutions, as of 31st December 2025. This statement must show the transactions on all holdings during the year, if any, along with profit or loss through those transactions. This document must be legalized and translated.
  10. Annual statements of insurance policies - life insurance including term insurance, endowment and capitalization, but not health, personal accident or similar insurance - showing the total premiums paid till 31st December 2025. Also include any single premium policies paid on or before 31st December 2025. This document must be legalized and translated.
  11. Statements of all non-bank deposits including post office or similar, as of 31st December 2025. This document must be translated and legalized.
  12. Documents showing all real estate - with construction or merely land -  owned by the earning family members. The document must mention the value (as of 31st December 2025), location and area of the real estate held. If the earning members do not own any real estate, a certificate from the local authority (that keeps a record of real estate ownership) must be provided. This document must be translated and legalized.
  13. If none of the earning members own a real estate or home, i.e. the family lives in a rented property, the original rental contract/agreement must be provided. This document must be translated and legalized.
  14. If the earning members own a property abroad, an equivalent document with the indication of value (as of 31st December 2025), location and size must be provided. This document must be legalized and translated.
  15. For any real estate documents, if the local authority does not provide the value (called cadastral value), a certificate from an official surveyor mentioning the value of the property/land as of 31st December 2025 must be provided. If the property was purchased less than five years ago (from 31st December 2025), a cadastral value/surveyor valuation is not required, and instead, the purchase deed will be sufficient. These documents must be translated and legalized.
  16. If the student received any scholarship during school, evidence of the same needs to be provided. Along with this, a form that requires the principal’s signature will be available inside the Bocconi4Access application. The scholarship document must be translated and legalized.
  17. If none of the earning family members are involved in any business (as an owner or stockholder) or as an entrepreneur, they must provide a certificate from the business registration authority of their country stating that these members are not involved in any business, nor listed as owners/directors/controlling stockholders in any business/enterprise in that country. This document must be translated and legalized.
  18. If one or more family members are involved in business/entrepreneurial activities, a certificate from the business registration authority is required. This certificate must clearly state number of businesses owned - partially or fully, number of shares owned in each business, company directorship titles, entrepreneurial or freelance professional activities throughout the duration of 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025. Along with this, the tax returns of the company and complete financial statements must be submitted. If the family member has a sole proprietorship, a designated form available on Bocconi4Access page needs to be printed, signed by the company’s CA and uploaded. All these documents must be legalized and translated.

M22, Russian
GPA: 27.52/31 (BSc in Business & Econ from an Austrian university, strong grades in statistics and quantitative subjects), Bocconi test: 35.67

CV: 6-month internship at top-tier AM firm, research assistant in economics, and university tutor in statistics/data analytics. Summer school in Finance with honours, Fluent in 3 languages, ex national level athlete.

Do I stand any chance for 1st round MFin? My biggest concern is my GPA, and I am thinking if I will score 40 on Bocconi test, could that compensate? Not sure if I can score higher.

Will be very grateful for your thoughts!

EU vs Non-EU

Hi! So i’ve been scrolling through this subreddit and i saw some comments saying that a guy with respectable profile (1500 SAT and 9.29 gpa it was i think) ranked 1700+ in early session just cuz he was non-EU applicant. I’m a non-EU student applying early session and it really concerned me. Can anyone please let me know if Bocconi actually prioritises EU students over Non-EU. That would be much appreciated

Mic failed during Msc Finance GE interview

I was giving the interview and after I recorded the final attempt of the 3rd (last) question, the preview had no audio and only video. I submitted it as I had no other option. The pther 2 questions were recorded properly.

I have raised a ticket. Does anyone have any idea what bocconi does in case of this type of issue?

Good Score for Bocconi Graduate Test

Hello all,

I'm applying for IM programmes and I took the Bocconi test mocks from the website and got 34.5 and 43.5 each.

What is a good score for the IM programmes? (especially the IM Asia ESSEC dual degree and IM CEMS) and how realistic is the mock vs the real test?

UK Students: Undergraduate experience at Bocconi

For British citizens or those who joined Bocconi from a British school system, I'd like to get your perspective on attending Bocconi.

I'm particularly curious about:

  1. Whether or not you feel the British system prepared you well for your course
  2. Career prospects and how many opportunities are accessible to you speaking only English
  3. Do you sometimes wish you chose another university? Or do you feel that Bocconi was a better choice than any UK options outside LSE, UCL, Oxbridge and Imperial.
  4. How difficult was it adapting to life in Milan?

Any additional insights would also be much appreciated.

Context: I'm a UK-EU dual national currently studying A level maths, physics and further maths. Also considering applying to SSE, St Gallen, and Esade.
