Print-and-Play I designed and 3d printed this Radlands Raider car!

I wanted to make a more interesting Radlands Raider vehicle rather than just a card. So I designed and printed this vehicle off the one picture I have and I had a lot of fun designing and dialing in this model. I made this for my kid that loves playing Radlands and I hope you enjoy it as well. No AI.

Components Dorfromantik - 3D Warehouse print - (DE/EN)

Hey Dorfromantik-fans...

There was always something missing for me with the warehouse card in Dorfromantik, so I decided to give it a little 3D upgrade!

I turned the rather plain game card into a small 3D diorama, complete with a grassy meadow, stepped terrain and a charming red barn.
There’s a little parking spot in front of the barn where you can temporarily place a landscape tile you want to keep aside for later.
The barn can even be detached magnetically, so everything fits back into the original game box after playing. The model is available with both German (“Lagerhaus”) and English (“Warehouse”) imprint.

I thought some of you might enjoy adding a little extra 3D flair to your own Dorfromantik setup!

If you're interested, you can find the model (for free) on MakerWorld: Dorfromantik Warehaus (DE/EN)

If you like this model, feel free to give it a thumbs-up on MakerWorld! 👍 I appreciate all the support and can't wait to hear what you think.

Have fun printing and playing!

[Catan: On the Road] 3D printed card box (fits sleeved cards + rulebook)

Made a small printed box for Catan: On the Road. I tested it with every card sleeved and the rulebook folded in, and it all fits with the lid closing flush.

  • Prints flat in one piece and folds into the box, no supports
  • 4-colour lid art done as a first-layer inlay, so only 8 filament swaps
  • ~44 g, about 1h40m on a Bambu A1 (0.4 nozzle)

Free on MakerWorld: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3405122

It's a remix of enacefio's Ultralight Heavy-Duty Card Box, all credit to them for the fold design.

Question I made wooden dashboards for HeroQuest and Talisman. Do you like them?

I design, laser cut, and made these for two of my favourite games, HeroQuest and Talisman. My friends have been using them and love them, but I’m curious what others think.

They’re made from wood, with magnetic wheels and clips to keep the pieces in position. The HeroQuest dashboard with fold-out wings is probably my favourite. It has a dice tray in the base, magnetic wheels for tracking stats and gold, and spaces for cards that fit even with sleeves. The two wings open out to hold more cards. I made two finishes for my friends: one painted to look metallic and another with an ancient wood look.

For Talisman, I made a flat version that uses the original cone trackers because some of my friends prefer those. The other version has magnetic tracking wheels and can sit flat or at an incline. Both have space for gold and fate tokens.

I also made separate Talisman card holders. I’m working on a version that folds away into something like a game master’s board, but that’s still a prototype.

The last one is a simpler HeroQuest holder a friend requested: two magnetic wooden panels that hold a paper character sheet, with magnetic tracking wheels so you can use both the wheels and handwritten notes.

Which would you actually use? Is there anything you’d change before considering buying one? I’d appreciate honest feedback before deciding whether to open a Etsy shop.

Clamp on shelves for our board game table

Thumbnail

When my family got our board game table we quickly realized that we didn't have a great place to put drinks or snacks while playing. All of the accessories I could find were either cheap plastic stuff or only worked with specific rail systems. So I decided to make a universal shelf that could clip on any table.

I was inspired by my step daughters fascination with charm bracelets at the time (Hence why I have been calling them Table Charms) and spent months refining the design and learning a butt load of new skills until I finally had something that felt finished and that I am proud of.

They are made out of laser cut plywood that have been painted and coated in a clear coat of epoxy.

I've made probably two dozen now, all with different shapes and sizes and colors, but the Soot Sprite ones are our favorites right now.

Now we use them all the time and not just for when we play games. They are fun and charming and bring a bit of whimsy to our table.

Retheme Toy Story Battle (Toy Battle re-theme)

Hello!

I made this custom Toy Story themed version of Toy Battle after watching and being inspired by Toy Story 5 and being reminded of how much I love the franchise. I wanted to bring the characters to life with this re-theme.

I'm not really a great graphic designer/image editor so the maps look a bit busy and not very clean. I didn't want to use AI to create the maps, so I bought some tilesets from Itch.io from Cute SCKR https://itch.io/s/181841/tileset-bundle

and then downloaded the Tiled program to make the layouts.

The tiles are made with 1x1 inch wood tiles that bought online. I edited some of the pictures of the tiles in Inkscape and added the Toy Story characters onto there. Laminated the paper and glued them onto the tiles.

So how do we play with all these new characters? Well, we currently draft them or select them. And we each have 8 characters but we need one of each category:

0-1 value, 2 value, 3 value, 4 value, 5 value, 6 value, 7+ value, and joker (Hamm in this game but Kwak the duck in the original Toy Battle game for reference) which comes out to 8 characters.

All in all, a fun project. I hope you guys like it! Let me know what you guys think!

Upgraded our Wingspan table setup with 3D tokens and a magnetic snap-lid storage box!

Hey everyone,

Wanted to share a recent component upgrade project I’ve been working on for Wingspan! After countless games, our cardboard resource tiles were starting to feel a bit worn out, so I decided to design a full replacement set focused on tactile feel and setup efficiency.

What’s in the upgrade set:

  • 3D Food Tokens: Designed detailed 3D models for all 5 food types (fish, wheat, invertebrates, berries, and rodents) with vibrant colors so they really pop on the player mats.
  • Bird Action Tokens: Replaced the standard wooden cubes with custom bird-shaped markers inspired by iconic species (Blue Jay, Raven, Barn Owl, etc.).
  • Magnetic Lid Storage Box: Designed a compact multi-compartment tray that holds all food, birds, and eggs. The lid uses embedded magnets that click shut with a super satisfying "snap" —no loose components spilling inside the main game box while travelling!

I recently listed a few sets on my Etsy store for anyone looking to level up their Wingspan table experience. Feel free to support and help out an independent creator if you’re interested! https://www.etsy.com/hk-en/listing/4568984792/deluxe-wingspan-upgrade-kit-165-food

Level up your game night with us!

Would love to hear what you all think, or what board game components you’re upgrading next!

Organization [Cascadia] Supply trays, scoring card holders and tile racks for the base game and Landmarks

Thumbnail
gallery
29 Upvotes

An organiser for Cascadia and the Landmarks expansion, built around what sits on the table rather than what goes in the box.

Supply trays. The shared tray holds the four habitat tiles with their four paired wildlife tokens, in the pairs the rules put them in, so it stays paired as people take from it. Under the faster-play rules, each player gets a personal tray of five, printed in the wildlife colours, so setting one up is one segment of each colour rather than checking icons.

Card holders. The five wildlife scoring cards stand face-out on a bar all game, so nobody has to lean across the table to read them. Landmarks adds a holder per player, with their five landmark cards standing in the same way, and the landmark tokens in the marked wells beside them.

Tile racks. Habitat tiles store twenty to a rack, and at twenty the top tile sits flush with the tops of the posts, so a full stack is something you feel rather than count. Setup asks for 20 per player, plus 3. Seven racks hold all 130 tiles and drop into a honeycomb tray.

It all packs back into the two original boxes, but that was the second problem, not the first.

It is my own design. Free and CC BY-NC-SA: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3207128-cascadia-landmarks-organiser-3-modes-6-players

The pinecones in the photos are not my models. They are the Cascadia Pinecone Set, 5 unique models and the Cascadia Nature Token. The bin also takes the game's own cardboard tokens.

Organization Making a 3mm plywood insert, asking for tips.

Thumbnail

I'm a Marvel Champions player, and as someone that gets rid of all their expansion boxes (I keep only the cards and the manuals), I started storing EVERYTHING (already sleeved) inside the Core-Game-Box.

First I removed the original insert and designed my own 3mm plywood replacement. but I run of of space. Them made a second insert to fit all the cards vertically, but now even that is not enough. It's time to get rid of the core box and go for version 3.

Here I bring some of the images I made in Lightburn (not made for 3D stuff, but it has been useful for designing the pieces)

Each color represents the respective piece, the black ones are supposed to be hidden behind the 3D model.

Each row has a width of 69mm, and the inner walls on the middle are 48 mm tall, so the cards are easy to manipulate even when sleeved.

The walls are made with 3mm wide plywood. The outside ones are 2 layers wide, each layer of different height so the upper lid can always rest on top without causing stress on the cards.

Could you please share any kind of of feedback to take into consideration before finally turning this from a design to something I can touch?

Organization Fields of Arle + Tea and Trade 3D printed Insert/Organizer ONE BOX

I didn't like the options out there for Fields of Arle with the Tea & Trade expansion so I made my own. It has a tray for each player and fits the base game and expansion in just the base game box with zero lid lift.

All the trays have labels to make packing up easier and finding components should be fast. There are letters on the perimeter that match up between trays so that it goes back in the box super easily.

It's free on makerworld if you want for print it for yourself.

Meta The data of MeeplePrint is now open-source. Search and plan 3d prints for board games!

Post image

MeeplePrint has grown a lot in the past month and I'm happy to announce some big additions:

  • The dataset is now open-source and can be found, see Github
  • I also published a API. To use this, you'll need an account and create an API token. After that head over to the API documentation.
  • Of course, I will keep adding new features to MeeplePrint itself. Since the last post, I added notifications, a new print planner, more print details (weight, plates, print time etc.), over 3k more prints and more.

I've been busy expanding my selection of 3d printed board game boxes to save some space on my shelves :)

Hopefully they're useful to some of you board game hoarders who want to fit more games in or like to take multiple games when traveling.

You can get them all free on makerworld - i popped them in a collection with my other ones so that you can find them without too much link spam.
