Just finished stripping and repainting this snowman. The paint was practically falling off just by touching it. The only part I didn't repaint was the mouth as it was the one area that seemed to still have good adhesion to the plastic.
Its not perfect but its plenty good enough to put out in the display again. I'll be working on its twin next, which is thankfully in much better condition and only requires repainting the buttons.

I was really hoping these sketchy blow mold listings on Walmarts website were real, but they were sadly resin. π©

Title says it all. Gotta love when people price them to move and not try to get eBay prices in an antique store.

We have a large vintage Kmart pumpkin blow mold. It's really faded, so I decided to try cleaning + painting it with Krylon fustion paint + primer orange. I am not happy with the result and really want to strip it off...
I've heard good and bad about Citri-strip, is there something else I should try? Thank you.

As the title says, Iβm new to this sub and also to blow molds. I picked this guy up today as my first, and heβs got some yellowing, (Iβm assuming UV damage?) Are there any newbie tips to potentially help with this? Thanks in advance!

I stopped at an antique mall in Stewartville, MN and saw all of these blowmolds in the rafters. They were not for sale. They belonged to the owner's wife. I am super jealous.

Acquired in the 90s, probably K-mart. No tag, sticker or markings on the back. The other is a new blow mold from Walmart. I just wanted to show y'all what this particular one looks like lit up. I'm really happy with it for $30.

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone post one of these. I bought it at Home Depot last week for the v e r y reasonable price of $14.99. It was the only one on the shelf. I assume the rest got snatched up! I like the vintage vibe, like the rest of my collection of blow molds.

These have a great color and are very bright. Battery-operated though which is annoying. Two separate figures.

Went back to the antique depot to see if the mid century porcelain kitty figurine I stupidly didnβt get was still there (it was!) and they had these blow molds there in addition to the other 2 I posted last week. $170 for the first one π

Grabbed this guy at the local Menards! Just as good of quality (I think) as the old originals
