Ive been recently trying to get a physical copy of the album. I saw that there's a 2 cd edition with the original and the remix released on 2018. But on online stores its only the original edition (2007 remaster is also pretty scarce, only saw it once on mercari) and on local cd stores, Blind Guardian is pretty scarce(central america btw). If its really hard to find, ill happily settle for the original release, but im nonetheless curious about this release

When Sorrow Sang, Mordred’s Song, Mirror Mirror, Battlefield, and Noldor (Dead Winter Reigns) advance.

Our third tiebreaker comes from round 104. Two modern giants among BG tracks that couldn't be more dissimilar in tone and energy. Pick your least favorite of these two.

Not the ones that inspired the lyrics, but the ones the band mentioned in interviews. Didn't Hansi mention the Handmaid's Tale once? And some Arthur Conan Doyle stuff? And Naomi Klein too?

Would like to understand lyrics better and it would help to know which song refers to what book.

Round 101 comes to a close with The Holy Grail on its waaaaaaay to the elimination zone. It loses with 71 of 184 votes.

I’m Alive, Somewhere Far Beyond, Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, and Sacred Worlds advance.

The bracket resets again after this round - and we have a suitably stacked song spread. A spread of tracks from one of the strongest three-album stretches I’ve personally witnessed from any band ever.

A legend dies today.

Welcome to Round 100. I really appreciate everyone sticking with this for so long, dealing with the daily posts and such. It can often be feast or famine as a Blind Guardian fan; we have to wait so long for new material so I want to try and make the wait easier for myself and others if possible.

This contest as a part of my daily routine has helped me in a lot of ways, so trust me when I say I’d do it even if very few people voted. I’m just glad we have seen good numbers especially as the tournament has proceeded into its latter stages.

We’re now increasingly entering territory where I have no clue how voting will turn out. So stick with it, fight for your favorites, and thank you!

Granted, there does seem to be a bit of dispute regarding the release date, but from what I can tell, it was released on the 2nd of October 1990.

While I wouldn't name it my favourite BG album, it's got an absolutely solid track listing. It's also really important in the band's story, continuing their shift from speed metal to power metal.

What are your favourite songs from this album? Mine are "Welcome to Dying" and "The Last Candle", personally.

Round 93 ends with Prophecies believing that goddamned lying toad - it has thus lost with 73 of 219 votes.

Curse My Name, Another Holy War, Welcome to Dying, Deliver Us From Evil and, Mordred’s Song all advance.
