hey all, was on foot movement speed accelerated lately? cannot find anything in the last months patch notes.

may be weird but I did not remember my character running so fast and I checked again and again and I have no movement speed buff or gear that boost that perk. perhaps it's because I played other games with slower movement speed but I can't adapt back, makes the back of my eyes aching and feel dizzy. may be I am getting too old for BDO 👵

I want to play PvP, but there aren't enough content available. What do you recommend for PvP?

I stopped playing bdo about five months ago because the grinding and the weeklies became too boring for me. This was often the case before and as it is always with BDO, at some point the thought "why not play again" comes.
But this time I have a different thought. I still don't feel like grinding mobs, but somehow I really only think about life skills.

That's why I'm interested in whether there are players here who play BDO purely as lifeskillers? If so, what do you want to say, how well does it work in BDO? What is your “goal” (if you have one) and put all your silver into lifeskill gear?

I will definitely try it, I am only interested in your experiences.

I started playing bdo on PC again, having a great time and not interacting with anyone, just life skilling as I like to do for myself and such. I haven't done anything to get banned, but for some reason I haven't been able to log in. I mainly played on Playstation but decided to move back over. I bought the tent, bought cosmetics, bought 90days of everything... its been MONTHS since they expired and still can't log in..... ive deleted it all and re-downloaded everything.. waited and retried.. I tried to contact support way back but got nothing in return.. I used to be a daily grinder for items to sell to others who didn't want that type of grind. Now I lost my interest in doing it again because of this and I miss it so much. Idk what to do, honestly dont know if I want to return but if I could itd be a hit or a miss but still want some semblance to why I can't return. I just wanted to help those that didnt like the grind like I do... Spending 400+ dollars just to get turned off....

I've been following the main quest line and am currently on Kamaslyvia, so far everything has felt like endless dialog with no combat, Im bored out of my mind and doing the quest line feels like a chore. Is there actually any benefit to doing the quests?

I'd like to ask if it's okay to use a VPN to play the game? Because my country currently has an affected underwater sea cable issue that's affecting how our internet connection is routed to the Singapore server (I play in SEA server). It f*cks with my gameplay and although I can grind fine with minimal lag, it's a literal night and day situation when I try to PVP.

I wonder where our game stands in comparision to all the other MMOs after all those years. Obviously WoW and OSRS are more popular but where would it place when compared to games like GW2 or Albion? Do we have any stats on how many active players are there? I only know about steamcharts but its not really accurate because some people use native client and CCU in case of BDO is a bad metric anyway when many people leave the game open 24/7.

So are there any other things we could base off or is it just a guess game?

When I turn them in, do the Life EXP boosts I have active have any effect, or does it not matter at all—is it always the same, “x10 = 900 Contribution EXP + Cooking EXP x30,” regardless of the circumstances?

“Fairy's Breath”, “Discarded Glass Bottle”, “Witch’s Delicay”, “Mysterious Catalyst”, “Blush Leaf” and “Wildspark”—which come from all professions. Do you think it makes sense to trade them all in for Contribution EXP and profession EXP? I need profession EXP; I've been saving them up but haven't traded any in yet.

Hi! Returning player here! Was digging through my old storage disk from the last time I played BDO back in 2021 and found my screenshot folder. Just thought I'd share some of these to the community!

It worked before and it saved recipe. Did I miss some alchemy patch notes or something? Do we no longer use Ibellab's Essence for 10x? Is my math incorrect? Do I not know basic multiplications?

So i have a ton of extra hammers and im about to get the last box in olvia academy that gives me a PEN blackstar weapon i already have a pen blackstar awakened weapon and a sub weapon so i was gonna use the box and get the pen mainhand.

So what do i do with all the extra obsidian hammers i have? do i save them or turn them into cron stones with heating?

Please let us customize the appearance of our Krogdalo horses! These are god-tier horses that take a significant amount of time and effort to obtain, and it would be amazing if we could give each of them their own unique appearance.

Many of us have been waiting for months, hoping to see some news or progress from PA on this feature, but so far, nothing has happened. It feels like such a missed opportunity to give these prestigious horses more personality and individuality.

Please let us change their skins independently and give each Krogdalo horse its own unique look! This would be a fantastic quality-of-life feature and another great way for players to express themselves in Black Desert Online.

Hue shared a clip from one of his viewers showing a Witch oneshotting mobs and even Ibedor. Apparently, the cheat also has GM/player detection, meaning it automatically stops whenever a GM or another player is nearby. Makes me wonder how many people are actually doing this in this game without getting caught.

General census I've gathered is it is incredibly P2W. How I see it is drop rate is horrendously low compared to grinding the actual spot, and to me its more of a pay for convenience where you're gaining more silver at pt.2 spots but still having a tiny chance of dropping the treasure items.
