seeking advice/help How do I go about befriending the raven that has been visiting my windowsill?

Hi!
I recently moved into a new place and left some bird food out on my windowsill to see if I could make some bird friends. To my surprise, a raven has been swooping down for a few seconds each morning and taking a treat. I am genuinely SO excited about this as I love corvids but have never managed to attract them before. I would like to “ befriend the bird” so it associates my face with the food, as at the moment I doubt it’s seen me. Does anyone have advice on how to do this without scaring it off?

I really hope this doesn’t violate the birds only rule, but I couldn’t really tell after reading
So I found this giant katydid (in my house)
and I tried to release it outside
After it flew into a tree I wanted to get one last photo of it, then I noticed the cardinal (first image)
The cardinal flew closer and swooped in to eat it (second image)
I’m literally devastated

I've had birds come in before in my balcony but never a pigeon like this, i use to do wildlife photography so I've a little bit of bird handling experience but tbh not sure about this one

He was stunned & was refusing to fly away and eat anything, though yesterday I got some health recovery powder from a vet store mixed with water & gave him the water which went quite well and he was more active compared to the day I found him(4 days earlier in my balcony)

Today after feeding him the 3rd Time he's successfull idk seems he's migratory bird.

Anyway what do you guys do like how do you feed a scared bird? Do you force feed them with a tube and all that or you just put food near them which never works for me.

Update: this yellow footed green pigeon is now gone, it got his strength after having some papaya and that strengthening water from that dropper and left my balcony., I'm a little sad ngl :(

Some wood and mallard ducks I encountered on a recent trip to Yosemite. The female mallards were funny - one came to visit us on the shore, left and brought back 3 friends to check us out too.

Hi so like lots of birds in this video I explain somethings in the video but still
southern ontario
Black birds heading south west
Appear to be coming from north east maybe
LOUD

Just wondering what they are/any neat things about them

After the videos the rest of the birds about 50-80 left all at once from all of the trees at 2:15 wasn't recording unfortunately

Note: just remembered this Monday we had a influx of Ladybugs and some black bugs there were a ton of them all over our house and general property maybe that has something to do with it

also even though it doesn't look it I'm in a very small subdivision surrounded by fields and forest so its not like those trees were their only option

This video/event is from 2026-10-15 at 1:30-1:15

I will give anymore information If needed

Second Note: this Post will be updated in a bit I have a second video thats 7 minutes long and has a lot more information and a better view its just taking a bit

Caught these Sparrows having a good time in my bird bath today. Bonus points if you find the Carolina Wren checking out the party! Also, are all of these House Sparrows?

I think they may be grackle but not sure. There are smaller brown ones as well. I thought they were crows at first. You can hear vocalizations about halfway through. I feed them cashews and they seem to like those more than peanuts and sunflower seeds. They are in an urban area in north Florida , mid October.

I took this video to record a strange sounding bird (strange to me as I dont think ive ever heard one here before). I live in Rockford, IL. USA. I just began hearing it in spring of this year and I still hear it to this day, usually in the evening. It flew into one of our trees so I know its not in someone's home. I just couldn't get a look at it.

Anyone know??
