What Additional Skills Should a Biomedical Engineering Student Learn

Hello everyone. I’ve just started my first year of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in Moldova. Unfortunately, I feel that some parts of the program are either overloaded with information, while other important topics are barely covered.

  1. What would be worth studying additionally? Are there any good courses or resources you would recommend? I know there are many different specializations within BME, but is there anything that would be useful regardless of which direction I eventually choose?
  2. I’m considering applying to a European university next year, preferably one with a stronger focus on practical skills. Does anyone know any good universities with English-taught BME programs where an international student has a realistic chance of being accepted?
  3. Which specialization in BME is considered the most promising in terms of career opportunities? Which fields have a realistic chance of leading to a good job after graduation?

Anything related to regulatory skills in the EU or FDA would help you a lot!
