Hi everyone. I’m currently building Taramon, a Filipino-to-Bicol learning app.

The main reason I started it is simple: learning Bicol online can be confusing. A word can have different meanings, some phrases don’t translate naturally word-for-word, and sometimes the “correct” translation depends on context.

So instead of making Taramon just spit out one answer, I’m trying to build it around reviewed translations, meaning/context, and different Bicol varieties.

For the first version, I’m focusing on:

• Central Bikol
• Partido Bikol
• Rinconada Bikol

It’s still not released yet, and that’s actually why I’m posting here.

I’m looking for two kinds of people:

1. People who want to learn Bicol and would like early access
2. Native Bicol speakers who’d be willing to check translations and tell me when something sounds wrong or unnatural

I really don’t want to build this by guessing or blindly relying on AI. I’d rather have real speakers help shape it properly.

Hi guys, ask ko lang kung need ko ba magpa anti-rabies kung na scratch ako accidentally ng aso ko. Pinapaliguan ko kasi kaso ang galaw niya. May anti-rabies vaccine naman po yung aso ko. Shih tzu + Terrier mix po, small dog, a few months old (not sure kung relevant tong info)

Hello, marhay na aldaw saindo. Isay igdi familiar sa Dungeons and Dragons or D&D? Gusto ko magkawat kaini kaso halos mayo ako bisto na nagkakawat. Baka igwa diyan groups na wiling mag add ning players. I can play online or f2f basta around Pili or Naga.

4 years na akong naninirahan sa legazpi para mag aral. Nung una hindi ko muna masyadong pinapansin and namamangha pa ako na parang walang pakialamanan sa ibang buhay ang mga tao dito at iba yung hangin or atmosphere HAHAHAHA. Pero since medj matagal na din ako here, parang may karapatan na akong mag rant based on my experience na halos lahat ng mga tao dito either may superiority complex, masungit, suplado, non-hospitable, non-friendly, nonchalant, all about work or acads, at acting elegant. Ewan parang walang kabuhay buhay ganun.

Na observe ko rin na very conscious ang lahat ng students dito sa looks at galaw nila. Pananalita, aura, looks, paglalakad, pag upo. Everything must seem elegant or that dapat prim and proper sila kahit na nasa normal na setting lang naman like jeep or jollibee.

So ayun, overall, everything seems fake, dull, serious, and performative here.
