USA 10 minutes into triangle of sadness and looking for something else

Over and over again I try to get into watching something only to find no interest in it after about 10 minutes.

There's so many movies I love. I wish it was easier to get into movies or find what new ones that I like easier. I've spent 2 hours trying to find something to watch. Pretty frustrating to spend a movie length if time watching intros to movies that I'm just not into.

Tried leatherheads,

What the hell should I watch?

Give me Horizon chapter 2!

I put it back on. 25 minutes in and it's okay.

I'm not enthralled but the yacht crew scene has certainly changed the pace and grabbed my attention.

The first 10 minutes were not good.

I don't turn every movie off after 10 minutes. I've watched movies all the way through that I didn't enjoy.

But I've often found that I can tell whether or not I'm interested within 10 minutes.

I kept my wording vague. It’s like 3 movies squished together. I don’t think I loved it but I was never bored

I was bored out of my skull for the first 10 minutes.

Making popcorn and I'm putting it back on now.

It’s almost two movies, with the shipwreck in between. Watch ten minutes after the shipwreck. Then come back and tell us what you think.

WTF IS THIS MOVIE?!

I'll be honest, it is interesting. The philosophical, societal, and the... flipping the script if you will. I'm still watching it, and while it's not my usual cup of tea. It's not bad.

Listen, I don't know why you're being downvoted. Films and show quality (writing and production) has declined over the past 10+ years, and I'm sick of pretending it hasn't. No, things aren't as good as they were in 2014, and I won't act like it. Lots of the artsy films are paint by numbers, very boring, riding on spectrcale. They really count on an audience that doesn't watch lots of film or TV, and has limited knowledge of what's interesting. I find myself stopping lots of Netflix shows after 10 minutes because it's far too slow, or simply isn't well written. Twists and turns alone don't make a dynamic movie.

The Storied Life of AJ Fickery was one of my favorite discoveries. It’s really good and just gets better as you watch it.

What else have you watched recently that you enjoyed?

I'm in norway and recently watched:

Copycat

The Client

Striking distance

Twins

War dogs

I hired a contract killer

Guess who

If you tolerate Adam sandler:

Murder Myster 1 & 2

Btw I'm about halfway thru triangle of sadness. It's not really my cup of tea either. I've been watching it in little bits here and there, I'm having trouble making it through the part where everyone is seasick.
