question Help me, help them.

Guys I work in a brewery and I am very curious about why the bees are diving into our beers and also can bees get drunk?
Because I’m rescuing all these bees swimming in beer and they look intoxicated!?

So far I have rescued 3 bees today, 7 bees this week. 🙄

Theyre probably being attracted to the fermented and sugary smells. Covering the tops w an object or mesh covering should prevent them from getting in. If you do this, do continue to check for bees bc theyre very smart w good teamwork capabilites and they can potentially lift up the covering and still get in

Are you confident they’re bees? This time of year the yellow jackets are dying and at the end of their cycle so they are also desperate for sugar to hold on for a little longer

Interesting, curious if they are honey bees or another kind of bee.

I don’t think it was honeybee. But there was fluff on them. Not a lot

When bees get drunk, the guard bees won't let them into the hive!

Yes bees can get drunk! They probably are just drawn to the sugars, so much sugar.

I think they make Reusable Elastic Fermentation Mesh Covers or you could use neeting.
