No. No you're not done. You're never done.

Could you share your items? This setup is gorgeous

u/Charad3s 15h ago

Also, would you change any items after using or are you happy with each item? I’m updating my setup atm. Might copy some ideas

Oh just realized I never answered your other question. Only thing I would change is the camera. Logtech's Camera is not that great. I love my speakers, but I want to get some new ones but they are expensive.

Hey, which model do you have? I have the Brio 500 and works great with Teams/Meet calls. Sure can't cast 1080p but that's limitations from the platforms.

Great setup by the way!

I'd be willing to share, just ask what you want to know and I'll comment here. The list is too long to share lol but I'd be happy to share what you're interested in.

And thank you!

what's the wooden piece that you placed the surface on? its gorgeous

3

u/artistro08 13h ago

It's an old monitor stand I made into a stand for it. I got the stand from OfficeMax, added the plywood pieces that I spray painted black, and added magsafe rinngs to it

Lights are on point. Care to share what you are using and where ? Very clean, beautiful setup. I can see myself working there for hours

I work here for hours lol.

I have two philips hue play bars behind the monitor, a light strip mounted facing down behind the monitor, a light strip on the back of the desk and the monitor light bar

LOOKS good, but I can't imagine a wooden wrist rest is comfortable?

1

u/artistro08 8h ago

I thought the same thing till I tried it.

I don’t have a wrist rest, just rest it on the table, i assume a wooden wrist rest feels about the same as that

In the stream deck on some sort of mount? Looks great.

1

u/artistro08 10h ago

It's Jerry rigged there. So yeah lol. And thank you!

This was my question too, been considering mounting it, might 3d print something.

Very pretty. Super clean for a setup that (I think?) is all running off a tablet. What's the hardware mounted beneath the desk surface?

Stylus, streamer equipment, tactile dials, and a trackball instead of a mouse. Are you an artist?

3

u/artistro08 14h ago

I am an artist! Graphic Designer, I digitally draw in my free time.

It is running off a tablet, sort of. I'm using the Surface Laptop Studio.

The hardware beneath is a CalDigit TS4 to connect my stuff via one cable, and the thing under that is the WiiM pro. I'm a music snob.

what are you using the knobs for? what kind of knobs are and why two?

2

u/Charte09 15h ago

that knob in the back (the grey one) is most likely for his light bar on the monitor

1

u/artistro08 15h ago

He's right

2

u/artistro08 15h ago

The two I'm using on my desk are for controlling my pc. I use it for volume, scrolling, undo/redo, moving through design files, going through email, and switching desktops. They are hooked up to a HID Remapper so I can program them with layers.

They are the Anticater VK-01s. The knobs interface on my desk shelf is the stream deck plus

2

u/ironic-waffle 14h ago

Do you find it easier than just using the trackball? is it stepless? I want to add a knob to my setup too so looking for options

3

u/artistro08 14h ago

So I use both, the HID remapper config I use lets me scroll with my trackball when I hold a button. I use that mainly. When I'm working with an app that mainly requires a keyboard-first workflow, i use the knob.

The knobs are tactile so they have steps. If you're looking for a knob that doesn't have one, I recommend the Logitech MX creative console. it's expensive but the knob is smooth as hell.

u/ironic-waffle 14h ago

thanks for the response!

2

u/reflectiveperson 14h ago

Heck ya! I've been looking to get a volume knob.

1

u/artistro08 14h ago

It's amazing for that.

1

u/Tushar-OP 14h ago

Great setup! What's the ultra-wide monitor?

1

u/artistro08 14h ago

HP omen something. Honestly don't recommend it tho since it's VA

1

u/Tushar-OP 14h ago

Thought so. Idk why but most of ultrawides are VA or OLEDs(very new). I am looking for an budget ultrawide IPS.

1

u/Dear_Web4416 13h ago

Phillips 34 inch

1

u/Tushar-OP 5h ago

Model? Also Philips monitors are generally not available in my country.

0

u/artistro08 14h ago

Yeah I was too and was upset that this wasn't ips but it is color accurate so I'm not too mad.

u/LetSteelTemplesRise 12h ago

Yeah that's sexy

What do you actually do in this picture-perfect setup?

My battlestation is a mess of many computers, cables, books, notebooks. But works for me.
