Feature Hi Reddit, I'm Jonah Keri. AMA.

Howdy hey!

My name is Jonah Keri, I'm a baseball writer for Grantland and author of the book, "Up, Up, & Away", a really fun (and occasionally autobiographical) look at the history of the Montreal Expos, told via ~130 interviews with ex-players (Pedro Martinez! Andre Dawson! Tim Raines! Rusty Staub!), managers, owners, and many more.

Thanks for doing this today Jonah, huge fan of your work and the only reason I visit Grantland.

So with Bud Selig retiring at the end of the year, when he makes you commissioner what will be the first thing you change about the MLB today?

Grantland is superamazing and I would say that even if I didn't work there. You need to check out the rest of the site, it's fantastic.

They've already started moving toward robot umpires, so that's nice. I'd like to see further efforts made to enhance competitive balance. The gaps in local TV money are making things a bit ludicrous. How the Dodgers can play in the same division as the Padres while taking in six times as much local TV money every year is beyond me.
