That's a bit of an optical illusion. Chourio is taking a few steps to his right while the camera is panning left. The dark patch at the edge of the wall never actually moves. Note the spec of lighter color dirt over Chourio's right shoulder. It moves in parallel with the dark patch at the wall, and that parallel movement becomes more noticeable when the camera jostles towards the end of the clip.

Honestly I'm not sure they use pesticides like Joe Suburbia on his lawn. From what I see they are replacing the whole turf often, possibly even the topsoil too. There's not any real long term ecosystem for weeds to join.

So my guess is the mantis rode in on a pallet of sod. Just chilled in the dark, ate a few rats. Suddenly the lights come on and "shit I gotta find a hunky Venezuelan to perch on so I can overwatch".

I'm sorry but does no one else know the lore of the praying mantis or the many symbolic meanings it holds? Not only is it a worldwide symbol of good luck, but in Christianity and many other beliefs it represents guardian angels. "Mantis" literally translates to "Profit" or seer. I"m shocked (as a non-religious person who still knows shit and is a Brew-liever) that no one is commenting that it could be Bob sitting on his shoulder refusing to give up the fight. I mean, they are literally nicknamed the praying nuns. Someone is praying for us.
