Same, but our viewership is a drop in the bucket compared to fact that the 12th largest country in the world probably won't be sticking around for Cleveland baseball lol
people love hate watching. if/once the dodgers are eliminated there will be a ton of people who say "eh fuck the world series, i have no stake anymore". it's an unfortunate reality of sports
Yeah not gonna lie, I’m a pretty casual baseball fan for teams around the league, but the two teams I watch the most are the Giants, who I keep track of and follow, and the Dodgers in the postseason to hatewatch them. The dodgers are great television.
Two teams who have literally never won before, or one team who has never won before and one with a 70-year draught. It's not hard, but instead the media will write hand-wringing articles about how the matchup is "bad for baseball" (and what they mean is, bad for the media and their bottom line).
*Bad for the broadcasting talent that thinks everything outside of New York/Los Angeles/Chicago/Miami/San Francisco/San Diego is an apocalyptic shithole.
As a dodgers fan I’m sad it’s going this way but as a baseball sicko brewers vs rays (or guards but I have an inkling it’ll be tighter with the rays) would be an incredible series to watch. Unless the brewers keep playing like this and just steamroll.
