[Highlight] Luis Lara with the impressive (and poorly-filmed) catch to get Freddie Freeman out!

Not only that but I'm genuinely not sure if Smoltz knows that the Brewers are playing tonight. He's just been glazing the Dodgers the entire game so far.

Thats just who john smoltz is. The only way he doesnt glaze the dodgers is if they play the braves

Even as a cubs fan it’s gross, I want you guys to put them in the dirt in the worst way.

It feels dirty, but against ultimate evil, sacrifices must be made.

Hey now, he talked for an hour about how Gasser’s lower arm angle meant the Dodgers were going to crush him.

Haven't been paying attention to the broadcast, but they are the story of this game in particular, so that makes perfect sense. Yeah the Brewers are playing like monstars this game, but the threepeat team losing and needing a win just have a chance the rest of the series is a big deal.

Trying to have a rare day where I don't wear my glasses (because I'm not completely blind, things are just a little blurry), and this made me think I was blind because I had no idea what happened.

Welcome to signing the cheapest contract, this director clearly doesn't know what they're doing

Just stick with the normal angles man...

I hate that they’re trying to fuck around with this behind-the-plate angle. Even if you’re insistent on doing it, somebody should have their finger hovering over a button and switch the camera immediately upon hearing contact.

The worst thing is that they always cut to a new angle RIGHT at the key moment of the play, so you don’t get to see the full continuous play from ANY angle

That's actually my main complaint too. I didnt mind the behind the plate shot because it showed just how much ground Lara was covering and how fast
But cutting on the catch is just malpractice. Just hold the shot at that point

In defense of the broadcast, they were using this angle to highlight how extreme Gasser’s release point will appear to a left handed hitter. They should’ve cut away as soon as he made contact, but that’s why they were there in the first place.

No clue why didn't change the angle for a nice catch

Whew…looks like those polarized sunglasses must give him one heck of a speed boost!
(Also yayyy Fox thank you for not doing even the most basic camera tracking despite being a billion-dollar oligarch trust fund entertainment company woohooo so glad I got to see it that way 😑)

Been a terrible production tonight. There’s no reason to hold a behind the plate camera like that after a ball is put in play

Freddie really getting robbed multiple times in this series

People are hating the angle, but I liked being able to see the outfielder run the whole way while also seeing the ball come off the bat the whole way.
I guess it's better for replays.
