Players Only Dodgers' Alex Call blasts controversial Sydney Sweeney ad

https://www.thebiglead.com/dodgers-alex-call-sydney-sweeney-novig-commercial-soft-porn/

Since the last post about this got deleted because it contained a X screenshot, hopefully this one actually stays for comment.

I thought this was pearl clutching until I saw the ad. Is that really on tv?

Child me used to have to wait until 2:30 am when the GGW infomercials came on to see that kinda content

That's honestly pretty crazy. I couldn't care less about the ad itself (yeah she's hot and the betting company got exactly what they wanted out of it) but airing it on tv seems a bridge too far. Youtube ads when the user is 18+? Sure. And I feel the same way about horror movie commercials. I'm trying to watch the game with my kid and some nightmare fuel comes up on screen for them to see? Thanks a lot for that!

Yeah the nightmare fuel also sucks. I don't know, at least for me they are shooting themselves in the foot. I'm over having to micromanage commercial break time trying to encourage my kid's interest in baseball. Probably just go back to TV off or Leo on Netflix for the 800th time.

It's not anymore lewd that other ads using mostly naked women.

What other ads on television right now are comparable?

Yeah, I don’t particularly love Call, but I agree with him on this. I do think it’s outrageous to run this on a family event.

And before people “what about” me, I fucking hate gambling ads too. All of it is gross to shove in the faces of kids trying to watch a baseball game.

Every commercial break.

I never thought I'd become a pearl-clutcher, but when I saw the ad I was very fucking surprised it was on tv. I mean that shot with her sitting on the basketball hoop, come on man.

I know. I had to rewatch it at least 69 times to see if it was real.

Your having people say yah but am I the only one to NOT get it? Maybe because I'm streaming through apps (either hulu, foxone, or hbo) and it's only on TV?

I've gotten all the other dumb commercials being talked about like the Megan Fox looking like a concked-out sexbot though

I can confirm it's aired for me in NJ on HBO Max.

Is also my experience in same locale with trial subscription to youtube tv.

Have barely seen any commercials though because of a pathological aversion to ads and willingness to FF through everything including between pitches and outs.

Yeah they show a shorter version (probably 30s?) almost every ad break. I really hope they sort this stuff out before I have kids watching with me. Idk what parents are supposed to do besides just not watch the games?

It doesn't have that shot from below of her sitting on the basketball hoop (or at least, I hadn't seen that before this article) which feels the most egregious, but yeah it's mostly what you see here.

Not exactly. The ad in the article is not the one shown on TV. The TV version is less explicit.
