Image The Rays have won each of Freddy Peralta’s last eight starts, including 2-0 in the Postseason!

He has a 0.81 ERA in his last 8 starts lol

It’s funny how everyone predicted the Rays getting his career back on track.

I'm not surprised. He's been good before us and a coaching staff like the Rays would figure out what was wrong before the plane landed

Rays do this so often that I would not have been shocked

0% shocked. This is what Rays pitching coaches do best. It’s actually incredible how quickly they tweak someone into something special.

I went to go find the thread in our sub when we traded for him and it was mostly, "we'll probably fix him, good trade".

Wasn't he absolutely awful in his first couple starts with Tampa too?

We were actually pretty high on him. We have a pretty blind acceptance we will fix anything that is wrong with any pitcher.

No we weren’t I was here when it happened lol

Yea, im also old enough to remember two months ago.
Some of the most upvoted comments from the acquisition post on our sub.
This dude is a half year removed from a 2.7 ERA. Ya his stats are bad this year but he’s on the Mets and they can’t manage pitching. This is 100% a decent size upgrade to our staff without giving up anything major
Big time move. Preferred him to Skubal over price tag anyway. Curious to see what we're sending. Get a bat or two, and maybe a relief arm. House money. Let's go
I like this a lot given the return, we basically gave up nothing considering our farm depth, but I will miss gary gill hill
The number 1 post on the r/baseball acquisition thread
The Rays will probably completely turn his season around, they just have a way with pitching
Plenty of people were high on this trade.

Are you also going to take the comments from the first few games he pitched where he was giving up 5+ runs every start lol

Even John Romanos article this morning expresses the feeling of how much doubt we had acquiring him. Yeah a top voted comment here or there but idk if that makes it the dominant opinion.
Even if it was dominant opinion a large contingent of people were still weary

Rays/Brewers is a dream World Series for neutrals because it's two small market teams that have been run well for so long and in that sense "deserve" a title but just haven't been able to get one. Gonna suck for whoever loses that though.

Not a tough loss for the Gaurdians. Lots of well hit balls and well pitched. They are showing they belong so far. Going to be a great series in Cleveland.

Always loved this guy, great to see him shine like this when it counts. Would be crazy to see him go against his old team.

Remember the post that said he was cooked after 4 starts? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

It's a great job for the whole team. You can be a great pitcher and still lose if your fielders have butterfingers. Freddy did great, but don't forget everyone else.

Mets almost cost him millions this offseason after his time there. Rays to the rescue!
