I just don't see the dodgers winning 4 out of the next 5. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but a brewers world series would feed Wisconsin for decades.

Yeah the Packers are easily the most popular team in the state but the Brewers are up there as well. A lot of that is due to listening to Uecker on broadcasts across the state over those decades. And probably the tailgating tradition, too. Even when the Bucks won the NBA title 5 years ago it felt more like a local celebration. Brewers winning it all would be much bigger.

I live on the west side of Wisconsin. Packers and Brewers are the dominating teams around here. No one really talks about the Bucks much, even when they won the title. Don't really see people wearing Bucks merch very often either. But there's Brewers and Packers stuff everywhere

As a Brewers/Tigers fan that’s gone to many games at Target Field over the past few years (travel to Minneapolis often for work, family and the MN state fair) I’m always amazed at the huge turnout of Brewers fans at Twins games. It is literally like a home game. Definitely on point.

It's practically equal distance for me to get to Target Field and to AmFam from where I live too. I've only been to Target Field once but it was pretty much a 50/50 split of Brewers and Twins fans

Milwaukee was nuts during the Bucks finals run in 2021, but they may not be as popular around the state as they are in Milwaukee. I feel like the Brewers have a ton of casual fans across the state who may not be too invested throughout the season, but will absolutely show up come playoff time.

I live in western Wisconsin too, and I've noticed that there are a good amount of Bucks fans, but they are mostly younger people, like under the age of 25ish.  Before Giannis, I never heard anyone talking about them.

Ah, I'm usually around older people so maybe that's why I don't hear or see much about the Bucks. I work with a couple people that will casually watch it, but they aren't super into it like they are with the Brewers

I consider myself a huge packer fan and have been for 40 years. I have never before cared about the brewers more than the packers in October until this season.

The Packers have been pretty mid since Rodgers left

Doesn’t take away from the fact they’re the most popular team in Wisconsin.

And that they are like a state religion here. You aren't a football fan, you're a Packers fan and the expectation is that you are one.

u/Just-in-themiddle Milwaukee Brewers 1d ago

So? Not a packer fan but you still root for your team even when they're not great.

Mariners were up 2-0 and looked so much better than Blue Jays in ALCS last year, then blue jays started hitting. I still like our chances but it’s not over yet. On Wisconsin

I agree. Only scenario I can see Dodgers pulling this out is winning a tough game 3 and blowing the Brewers out in game 4, essentially turning it into a three-game series with all confidence on their side. So it's a very small chance. The Brewers have a better chance of sweeping, but I think it will go 5 or 6.

u/wRADKyrabbit Los Angeles Dodgers 1d ago

They aint even winning 1

1

u/PaceNo354 Milwaukee Brewers 1d ago

I highly doubt the dodgers get swept. I still have my doubts about the brewers winning the series

u/wRADKyrabbit Los Angeles Dodgers 1d ago

Lol cmon dude, try to pay attention to whats happened so far

0

u/PaceNo354 Milwaukee Brewers 1d ago

I would be gobsmacked if both Snell and Glasnow lose at home in LA. I just don't see it happening

1

u/wRADKyrabbit Los Angeles Dodgers 1d ago

Yeah and most people wouldve said the same thing about taking both games off Skubal and Yamamoto so...

-9

u/ezekielBmb Los Angeles Dodgers 1d ago

Wow, from 10% chance to 100% chance after two games? It’s almost like the Brewers have been the best team in baseball the entire year.

u/PaceNo354 Milwaukee Brewers 1d ago

Stay salty brotha!

2

u/Brave-Secretary2484 Milwaukee Brewers 1d ago

Idk, sounded like he said the Brewers are literally the best team in baseball and we should have been confident the whole time. I, for one, have been. Don’t see the Dodgers taking a single game tbh

Or we could both just make a donation and not bet on the lives of children

Thanks for the donation, every dollar helps.

-1

u/ezekielBmb Los Angeles Dodgers 1d ago

We were supposed to donate to each others children’s hospital but I digress. Money for sick kids is always a good thing. Which is why I wanted to place a friendly wager where the winner donated the money to a good cause.

This is probably a good place to end our little feud. Brewers have a fantastic team. Hopefully the Dodgers can up their level of play otherwise this will be a very short series.

I almost feel like there are more Brewers than Packers fans in the state. Lots of people who don’t follow football are very into the Brewers

1

u/SelectionFun Milwaukee Brewers 1d ago

Yea this is the coldest take ever. You could walk around town on opening day of baseball and still see more packers than brewers apparel. Packers are king

1

u/Fiatlux8ul8s 1d ago

Apparel does not equate to fandom
