Best backgammon for Levant

My cousins are coming over from abroad to Syria and they want to learn how to play backgammon, but I found out there are a lot of different types. Moroccan, French, Sheshbesh, tawla 31

Which one is the best?? And is there a good website or video???

im guessing all the ones i mentioned + one called mahbouseh (imprisoned??)

I think the one we played in Iran is Sheshbesh. Israeli friends play the same variant I guess.

The only good form is Western/modern backgammon.
