Introducing PIPSTER. Match tracker, clock & scoreboard.

Soooo just read the previous post about people dumping half baked vibe coded BG apps šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ‘šŸ»

My app is NOT THAT. Did I use AI? Yes... but here there is back story.

I built the App myself so my partner and I to get used to using a clock (phone convenience), and to also record our match history so we could remind each other who is the boss.

People started asking about it, so I used AI to build all the other multi-user bits that I typically wouldn't have time for - which allowed me finish it within weeks instead of months, and a now I can share it with the community for free. Apart from the clock, the part I like the most, is keeping all my IRL match history in one place.

When I opened PIPSTER, the first text included ā€œstructured data that says something the reader cannot seeā€ and a stray ā€œ-->ā€ before the app introduction; remove that leaked editing note. Your ability to record an opponent without making them register deserves space beside ā€œOpen the appā€ā€”it answers a practical question for the couple playing across a real board.

I make ThreadFox. I went through PIPSTER as a first-time visitor and wrote up what I hit; the full check is free: https://threadfox.vip/p/pipster

Can a guest recover a match if they close the browser before creating an account?

Thanks for running a first‑time‑visitor check — appreciate the detail. I couldn’t see any visible text like ā€œstructured data that says something the reader cannot seeā€ or a stray ā€œ-->ā€ on the landing page, so Claude may have pulled that from the page source rather than the UI. If you spotted a specific element, happy to clean it up.

Good point about highlighting the ā€œrecord an opponent without registrationā€ feature — that’s exactly how most people play across a real board, so I’ll surface that more clearly near the ā€œOpen the appā€ button.

And to answer your question: Pipster’s clock and scoreboard work fully in guest mode. No account needed. You only create an account if you want to save a match and come back to it later — closing the browser ends a guest session.
